Judge rules NYC migrant shelter at Staten Island's St John Villa Academy must be vacated

A Staten Island judge ruled Tuesday that a former school being used in the New York City borough to shelter hundreds of migrants must be vacated.

The ruling from Staten Island Supreme Court Justice Wayne Ozzi comes after hundreds of locals took to the streets a month ago to protest the city’s decision to house migrants at the site of the St. John Villa Academy, citing safety concerns in the area as the building is positioned near other schools.

“It is refreshing to know that there are jurists in our system, like Judge Ozzi, who understand our concerns with having migrant shelters placed within residential areas,” Staten Island Borough President Vito Fossella, one of the Republican lawmakers who filed the lawsuit against New York City, said in a statement.

“This decision is a victory for the residents of Arrochar and, frankly, all Staten Islanders,” he added. “We believed the City acted improperly in placing a migrant shelter within the heart of Arrochar, a low-density residential community and across the street from a Pre-K-12 school.” …

It’s time for the citizens of the U.S. to put a stop to this.
The citizens of the U.S.need to say to every elected official, federal, state and local that the following policy needs to start now or those local and state officials will be out of a job: “Enough of this insanity. You need to go back where you came from. Enouogh of this charade. You’ve had an illegal vacation. You are not “asylum seekers<” and everyone knows it.” You are here illegally and must leave. It’s time for you to leave the U.S. the way you came in. Leave now, of your own accord, or you will be sent to remote areas at lest 1,500 miles south of the southern border of the U.S. We’ll pack you each three meals for the road. You will leave here all the money and goodies you’ve been given. Then, you are on your own. You would be wise to leave the U.S.now of your own accord. If you don’t you will be deemed illegal fugitives entitled to no goodies, no housing, no cars, no voting, no schooling for your children. The U.S. is not continuing its Biden-instigated and directed insanity.”
