President Biden made an unprecedented stop Tuesday, joining the picket line with striking autoworkers and marking the first time a sitting president has done so.
The president stood in solidarity with United Auto Workers (UAW) at a General Motors facility in Van Buren Township, Mich., and spoke to the group via bullhorn alongside union President Shawn Fain.
“Wall Street didn’t build the country. The middle class built the country. Unions built the middle class,” Biden, wearing a baseball cap and quarter-zip sweater, told the striking workers.
“Let’s keep going; you deserve what you’ve earned, and you deserve a hell of a lot more than what you’re getting paid now,” Biden said to cheers from the group.

Potential conflict of interest if POTUS has to intervene in strike??!!
I expect Trump to encounter a hostile (planted) crowd tomorrow.
“Unprecedented?” Hardly. He’s trying to Trump the Donald who is visiting them tomorrow.
Heck, why not give ‘em a 100% increase?
Stand up, Joe!
He sure has a potty mouth.
President Diaper is going to destroy the last of Detroit and give it to China.
He has no idea China is using him to eliminate the Big Three.
“Let’s keep going; you deserve what you’ve earned, and you deserve a hell of a lot more than what you’re getting paid now,” Biden said to cheers from the group.
Oh, Lunch Bucket Joe. You left out the good part about doubling corporate taxes, increasing regulation, exploding energy costs, handicapping the supply chain delivery system, and unfunded mandates on businesses with more than 50 employees.
Then to further help these blue collar employees he is going to increase income tax rates, tax their cadillac health insurance plans and further deflate the value of what dollars they have left.
“Now come on boys. I’ll choke that golden goose to death so you can stomp on its carcass.”
“Vote for me!!!”

Many of the members voted Trump in 2016 & 2020, and I wonder if they’ve realized how many jobs they’re going to lose on that EV crap and automation/ cheaper foreign workers. Probably not... a shame.
The UAW needs to out the auto companies in bankruptcy.
ur probably right, and the UAW put it’s pension money in mob casinos instead of into automobile companies stock. You reap what you sow, and the UAW is a scam union.
Right. Public Unions force the government to raise taxes. Private unions may force the company into bankruptcy.
Another question: when did it ever work out well when the President, ANY President, takes sides in a domestic dispute? Hell. Even I know that no good comes from sticking your nose in other people’s business, especially when they are having a fight.
