SHOCKING NEW DETAIL: U.S. Army Hospital in Germany Is Treating American Soldiers Hurt Fighting in Ukraine.
NY Times writes, "The Army’s Landstuhl Regional Medical Center has quietly started admitting Ukrainian Army soldiers who were wounded in combat, most of them American volunteers."
It adds, "A group of Ukrainian Army soldiers pierced by Russian grenades and mortar shells arrived at a hospital recently in need of surgery. It would have been a familiar scene from the bloody war grinding on in Ukraine, except for two crucial differences: Most of the wounded soldiers were American, and so was the hospital — the U.S. Army’s flagship medical center in Germany.
"The Army has quietly started to treat wounded Americans and other fighters evacuated from Ukraine at its Landstuhl Regional Medical Center. Though the number so far is small — currently 14 — it marks a notable new step in the United States’ deepening involvement in the conflict."

How can American soldiers be in Ukraine?
If they arefighting in a war that we are not officially involved in, don’t they get a court martial? Didn’t they go AWOL if they are in Ukraine?
I imagine they are are “former” US soldiers.
How can we have all these uh, newcomers here in the u.s.?
Good question.

“U.S. Army Hospital in Germany Is Treating American Soldiers Hurt Fighting in Ukraine”
Good to hear, I want the people that we send into war to get the BEST medical treatment possible!!!
By the way, are we at war, or something?
They are Americans and fighting in Ukraine but not as members of the American army. They are soldiers, just not US Army soldiers. Americans fighting for the Ukrainian government.
we’re heading into another vietnam. Biden is another evil LBJ
At some point last year, I read an independent news piece out of the Ukraine....estimating around 300 non-Ukrainian were participating (US, Brit, German, etc). Wouldn’t surprise me if it’s reached a thousand this year.
Then they should not be treated in a U.S. Army hospital.
“Did anyone vote for this?”
Take a chill pill: These are NOT US military troops; they are volunteers or mercs.
And if there are wounded Americans from grenades (that’s close combat) and other explosives, what about fatalities?? Any unusual activity at Andrews airfield in WDC???
Foreign volunteers join the Ukrainian forces.
Yes, professional soldiers, that’s what they do. I have a friend and both his son’s do that. There are skirmishes all around the globe where they can participate.
“Then they should not be treated in a U.S. Army hospital.”
Why not? Our military hospitals treat injured Ukrainians as well as non-Ukrainians fighting for Ukraine. Our military hospitals even treat wounded enemy troops who have been captured. That is a long-standing practice.
We didn't send them...these are Ukrainian soldiers of "American volunteer descent".
So, a U.S. Army hospital treating foreign soldiers.
“And if there are wounded Americans from grenades (that’s close combat) and other explosives, what about fatalities?”
Car ‘accidents’ at LaJune, training ‘accidents’ at Ft. Bliss, mass suicides at the thought of Russia actually defending Russian speakers in Ukraine.
They’re very creative when it comes to fatalities.
The current administration is allowing them to be mercenaries.
I missed the declaration of war somewhere in the news.
