thats a money maker
did they check the freezer?
menendez seems pretty clumsy at this
he should have called stupid joe
The last time the FBI raided my house, they only grabbed $120,...
Wait, never mind.
Who bought him?
Dang!
I don’t trust banks either!!
But I’d better stash my loot somewhere else, now.
This is why I don’t see how the government can eliminate cash.
Drug sales and bribes can’t have a paper or digital trail.
Defund the FBI. They’re out of control. Impeach everyone.
Look, this guy is every bit as dirty as Biden - but having cash in your house is not and should not be a chargeable offense. While I don’t have anything like that amount around my house, I don’t want the FIB and DOJ(ust us) asserting that I am guilty of something just because I choose to keep cash at home.
“Federal agents found more than $480,000 in cash ‘stuffed into envelopes and hidden in clothing’ in Sen. Bob Menendez’s home”
even tony soprano wouldn’t been THAT stupid ... OTOH, maybe Bob simply didn’t have a handy bird-food bin available ...
So New Jerseyites, is this going to be Scutari or will Phil be so bold as to hand it off to Rep. Blob Cubano Jr? Or Pallone? Or maybe Springsteen lofl, and he can wear the same homeless garb-age as Fetterman.
I have to admit that I have often found one, five, and even the occasional ten or twenty dollar bill in jacket or pant’s pockets in my home. I call it “washing machine” money and claim it as my reimbursement for washing clothes. More often than bills though, I find loose change consisting mostly of pennies.
Over the past 40 or so years, I’ve kept coffee cans in the laundry room to collect the change and since having grandchildren, I simply affix a child’s name to the can when full and place it in the cupboard in the room designated as the “gkids” room. The change, and the dollars, does add up but I doubt it will add up to the Menendez amount of $480,000. They will feel thankful if it adds up to $480.
However, I can never recall stashing large sums of money anywhere in our home other than the “emergency fund cash stash” that has always been in a specific location. That “stash” does not add up to $480,000 either. (It’s more like $500).
So, my take is if a U.S. Senator has that sum of cash money simply stuffed in pockets of clothing in his home, then corruption is somehow involved.
