First install and put one line both the power sources that function reliably for 24/7/365 regardless of wind blowing or not, or the Sun shining or not.
Second install and finish the grid infrastructure to get this new amount of electricity to every inch of the US, as much as it is needed now and projected growth/expansion for the next 100 years.
Then once completed the citizens may consider EV anything.
