The National School Boards Association (NSBA) requested in its original letter that parents’ actions
at school boards should be examined under the Bush-era PATRIOT Act as “domestic terrorists.”
The National School Boards Association (NSBA) demanded that parents’ actions at school board meetings be examined under the Bush-era PATRIOT Act as “domestic terrorists.”
The PATRIOT Act was signed into law in 2001 by President George Bush after the Sept. 11 terror attacks that killed some 4000 Americans, and was intended to combat global terrorism and expand the boundaries of surveillance.
Apparently, NSBA has now apologized for typifying parents as “domestic terrorists.”
