WASHINGTON β The US Senate tonight confirmed Air Force Gen. CQ Brown as the next chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, and is poised to approve two other top military officers to key posts, the first break in a logjam caused by a blanket hold on promotions placed by Alabama Republican Sen. Tommy Tuberville.
In a surprise twist in the months-long political saga, Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer, D-N.Y., announced today the legislative body would hold a vote to confirm Brown, alongside Army Gen. Randy George and Marine Corps Gen. Eric Smith to serve as leaders of their respective services.
Brown was the first of the three to receive votes, passing with a 83-11 vote. The timing for final votes on George and Smith were not clear, but both are expected to also pass with little opposition.

I think it’s appropriate with have a new Joint Chiefs chairman named Charlie Brown. It seems America has run out of white guys.
Not that America is running out of white guys, it is running out of any in the 17-25 age bracket who are willing to sign up. If we get into a serious war with Russia or China, the draft will be revived.
They called him “Swamp Thing” because of a F-16 crash in the swamp.

The real problem will be getting anyone to go. They’ll make tik toks about their draft order and then toss it in the trash.
...yes, and hasn’t he been on record as recently saying there are too many white pilots in the United States Air Force...?? great.....another General Milley in the making....
Brown is a Black Milley, only worse.
All we need now in Linus, Lucy, Peppermint Patty and Pig-Pen.
From the report on the 1981 accident:
βIt was later determined that during a flame holder assembly change, a maintenance rag was left in the afterburner section causing a hot spot. The air force F-16 units then began counting rags taken out on a daily basis. The aircraft was viewed with the vertical stabilizer above the water as it crashed in shallow water at the end of the runway. β
Yikes!
Oops! 1991 accident.
Good grief !
