Once Trump is back in office and we screen out the criminals and lunatics, I’d give serious thought about keeping the Venezuelans even as we deport many others. They have been safely inoculated against socialism. I significant piece of Florida becoming redder again is Venezuelans becoming citizens in the last few years and voting overwhelmingly Republican.
I’ve read that most Venezuelans move to Florida, particularly to the Miami area where they have family and friends. Miami went from blue to red during the 2022 gubernatorial election and already had Venezuelans voting for Trump in the presidential elections. Although many are socialists despite what happened to their former country or their family’s country, many are anti-socialism/communism for the same reason.
As much as I hope to see Trump as President again, I truly doubt the deep state will allow him to get near the Presidency. They are so on their way to destroying this country they won’t let him stop them from finishing the job.
