Representative Matt Gaetz (R-FL) slammed House Speaker Kevin McCarthy again Tuesday morning for his “eight months of inaction” on Joe Biden and the Biden Crime Family.
Gaetz further called on McCarthy to sign a subpoena for Hunter Biden that he took the initiative to draft.
The subpoena orders Hunter to testify under oath and produce records such as documents, contracts, agreements, and financial records from his shady business dealings; communications with Joe Biden, domestic and foreign business partners; and what appears to be records pertaining to secret global phone lines and email pseudonyms used by then-Vice President Joe Biden to communicate with Hunter and their business partners. Hunter must produce all relevant documents from January 2008 to the present.
The Gateway Pundit reported last Tuesday that Gaetz threatened to remove Speaker McCarthy for being out of compliance with the agreement that allowed him to assume his role, not holding the Bidens accountable, and advancing Biden’s inflationary spending, among other things. “Here we are, eight months later, and we haven’t even sent the first subpoena to Hunter Biden,” Gaetz said one week ago on the House floor before calling McCarthy’s announcement of an impeachment inquiry a “rushed and somewhat rattled performance.”

Oversight needs to examine Hunter’s spin-silly memoir.
Congressional testimony from Hunter’s former business partner, Devon Archer, and newly discussed emails indicate that the president’s son’s memoir “Beautiful Things” was an exercise in spin rather than truth-telling, especially concerning his father’s role in his foreign business dealings.
That evidence shows how the wily Bidens used the memoir to create a politically charged narrative – one largely embraced by the toady mainstream media – that distorted the truth to protect the Biden family.
On page 118, Hunter writes that after accompanying then-VP Joe Biden to China on Air Force Two in 2013 (mooching off taxpayers), he “merely introduced” his father to a well-connected Chinese investor.....a quick greeting just long enough for a handshake.
Hunter writes: “While we were in Beijing, Dad met one of Devon’s Chinese partners, Jonathan Li, in the lobby of the American delegation’s hotel, just long enough to say hello and shake hands. Li and I then headed off for a cup of coffee.”
The account seems to comport with now-President Biden’s repeated denials that he discussed business with his son or had any substantive involvement with his partners.
However, Archer told a different story to U.S. lawmakers during a deposition earlier this year. “Jonathan Li and VP Biden had coffee.....in Beijing......intimating it was business related.

I like him but this is still an awful lot of what the Bidens did when Joe was VP and very little as president that he could actually be impeached under.

In late 2015, after Viktor Shokin took over the prosecutor general’s office in Ukraine and turned the screws on Burisma, Pozharskyi again turned to Hunter Biden for assistance.
Archer testified that Hunter called his VP father to help deal with Shokin’s investigation at both Pozharskyi’s and Zlochevsky’s request following a Burisma board meeting at the Four Seasons in Dubai on Dec. 4, 2015.
“They were getting pressure and they requested Hunter help them with some of that pressure,” Archer said, explaining the pressure was coming “from Ukrainian govt investigations into Mykola [Zlochevsky].”
Archer suggested their benefactors wanted Hunter to use his influence with his dad, the vice president, to get Kyiv to take “the heat” off Burisma.
Archer testified he did not overhear Hunter’s phone call, but noted “he called his dad.”
Hunter Biden was not registered as a foreign agent as required by federal law when lobbying the US govt WRT a foreign entity. Federal prosecutors revealed at a court hearing that Hunter is actively under investigation for possible violations of the Foreign Agents Registration Act...... a law Biden’s DOJ used to prosecute several Trump advisers.
You have a tremendous misunderstanding of the impeachment process. There’s nothing in the Constitution that says “high crimes and misdemeanors” has to have occurred while the President is actually in office.

House impeachment investigators want to know whether Joe Biden engaged in a quid pro quo: shaking down Ukraine’s former president that would benefit his son by threatening to withhold a US-backed foreign aid package amounting to a billion dollars.
According to one Republican staffer, on condition of anonymity, they also want to know if Joe Biden or his staff helped Hunter draft the chapter of his spin-filled memoir, titled “Burisma,” or if Joe Biden had a hand in editing it.
“Beautiful Things” was published by an imprint of Simon & Schuster, which had no comment.
Hunter’s attorney Abbe Lowell did not reply to requests to speak about the discrepancies in his client’s book.
Far too few GOP congressional members have the backbone to challenge McConnell’s uni-party.
Thank God for Matt Gaetz.
The Senate is more spineless, with only a couple that say what needs to be said.
This is prudent, as it makes the questioning more interesting when you do decide its time for a Subpoena.
Putting Hunter up now, without that evidence, leaves Hunter free to sit there and plead the 5th.
This is nice theatrics for Matt, but counter-productive.
Note: If Kevin is able to present the evidence to the public, then it matters less that Hunter pleads the 5th.

Congress is given the authority to investigate. What gets me is congress giving up its authority to THE DOJ. Not only that, but they will say “We can’t talk about that subject because there is an on going investigation.” They also say, “we can’t do anything until the DOJ investigation is finished.” Truth of the matter is, they can do their own investigation outside the DOJ. The DOJ does not have authority over congress. If congress demands information from the DOJ, they must provide it.
