They’re not Americans in any sense other than accident of birth. They have zero allegiance to America’s foundational principles, and are in fact openly hostile to them. The present war is not between “liberal” and “conservative” (whatever those even mean now, since both have been so distorted), but is instead between Americans and anti-Americans. The distinction is that stark. We are up against hordes of literal domestic enemies of the real United States of America. That’s why they keep calling us that, because they are trying to divert attention from the fact that they are the actual domestic enemies.
