Not quite sure how a lethal injection can be bungled. Any time I’ve had major surgery I could have been gone and never known it.
I recall an outpatient surgery I had in my 30's. The stuff they gave me intravenously before they gave me the stuff that conked me out made me feel REAL good... like a wonderful floaty high. I didn't care 'what' they were going to do.
Seems to me that if these guys were really that concerned about humanely executing prisoners... they would use this method of rendering them unconscious and then inject the killing solution into their veins. The prisoner would first feel a real good high and then nothing.
But we know that the left's "inhumane" whines are all BS, like everything else they whine and lie about and spew. They don't like the idea of Lady Justice killing off more of their supporters. Most prisoners lean Democrat. It's all (always) about the rats protecting "their own".

A lethal injection can be bungled if the Doctor cannot find a good vein. Many of these people have damaged veins from when they used to inject recreational drugs.

1. Hippocratic oath prohibits medical professionals from administering it.....should be able to find some retired or just hobbyists that would pay to start the pump.....
2. Drug makers refuse to “certify” their drugs for human execution.....and the use of drugs used on cats,dogs, etc brings “howls” (pun intended) of inhumanity from the “never deathers.”

PATRIARCHAL SOLUTION: If guilty by jury of peers......or confessed....or by a fair judge.......turn him/her/it/? over to family(ies) of aggrieved for execution up to and including the same method(s) and lack of mercy used on their lost ones.
All assets and interests of the Perp, including previously bequeathed, revert to the victims’s family.
Allow family to auction off the right to execute Perp and or pay per view.....for partial recompense.
