Both my hub and I got something...May of 2022, June of 2023...didn’t last long...no vaxes. Hub test in May looked positive... I refuse to test. And we are kinda old.
It all depends on your genetic make up.
I got COVID at the very beginning, when hospitals were scrambling and tests were rare.
At the time I was in excellent health. I was managing a high rise condominium and walked all 14 floors (including emergency stairwells) weekly without breaking a sweat. At home, I was juggling three kids, a husband, a cat and dog, and keeping up with a 3K sq. ft. home and yard. I am 5’8” and weighed 138 lbs. My dress size was either a 6 or 8, depending on the cut. I ate clean. No drugs, no alcohol.
COVID roared through my building in December 2019/January 2020. It took 5 of my 7 staff members down for 2 weeks each. One of my maintenance men and I were the only ones still standing. Some residents were hospitalized. Some had family members die.
In January, it took me down. I went to the doctor and he ordered a chest x-ray. My lungs were clear.
My two youngest kids were sick for a few days and bounced back. My husband and eldest son never missed a beat, not even the sniffles.
2.2020, hospitalized with breathing issues.
3.2020, hospitalized with breathing issues.
4.2020, x-ray and pulmonologist confirmed massive COVID scarring on my lungs. Stage I COPD.
8.2020, adrenals depleted, issues with kidneys.
7.2022, Omnicron. Shut down my digestive system. Hospitalized again.
10.2022, Stage II COPD.
12.2022, first POTS episode.
The masks, social distancing, sanitizer, etc. were smoke and mirrors. They didn’t help then and they won’t help now.
Never vaxxed. COVID did enough damage.
Seeing Dr. McCullough in October. Hoping I can get a few more years in before I die.
The good news is I don’t have to worry about retirement. I’ll be dead and buried long before then.
