Trump likes Putin comment

Donald Trump has said he welcomed comments by Russian President Vladimir Putin, who stated that Moscow would be glad if the former US president were to make good on his vow to resolve the Ukraine crisis within a matter of days.

Speaking to NBC News’ Kristen Welker for an interview published on Friday, Trump was asked about the recent praise from the Russian leader, who said last week that “Mr. Trump keeps saying he will resolve all burning issues within several days, including the Ukrainian crisis… Well, that would be good.”

“I like that he said that because that means what I’m saying is right,” Trump replied, referring to his stance on Ukraine, adding “I would get him into a room, I would get [Ukrainian President Vladimir] Zelensky into a room and I would get a deal worked out.”

Why not?

All the Official Card Carrying experts have failed to do anything but stumble towards war.

Unless...

War is the desired product. In that case they’re all doing fine as is.

Only Trump can do this. One man. In a world.

Official Card Carrying experts

Funny, well not really, those official card carrying experts have been failing for decade after decade. Just take their approach to Israel for example. One failure after another. They are stuck on stupid. But Trump comes along, and behind the State Department’s back negotiates the Abraham Accords. He even moved the embassy in Israel. Those so-called experts never had the guts to do that because their entire world perception is based on fear and a complete misunderstanding of people.

Everyone employed by the State Department should be fired and replaced by regular Americans that have no education or experience in foreign policy.

We had rumbles of war when Trump was elected. It was almost as though it was scheduled.

President Trump sold Dragon anti-tank missiles to the Ukraine. That made Democrats mad. (There was no quid-pro-quo for Trump. Quid-pro-quo is business as usual for Democrats.). Trump met Putin. That made Democrats mad. Peace ensued.

Biden becomes President. The long-awaited war between the Ukraine and Russia commences.

by Jove! Methinks you have it there. Insider trading in defense contractor stocks are now paying big dividends.

I am wondering something. The Russia supporters on FR keep telling us that Ukraine is on the brink of collapse. They tell us that Ukraine has been bled dry. They tell us Moscow will have this thing wrapped up by Christmas.

If that is true, why are there numerous folks on the same threads suggesting that Russia is going to be “forced” to launch a nuclear war.

If Ukraine is that close to surrender and collapse…why would they need nukes?

True. The planet was quiet when Trump was running our international affairs. Now? The planet is in a mess. Wars, inflation, immigration, the economy… all in the crapper since The Donald was effectively thrown out of office.

When the local border-jumper terrorists down the street start lighting off IEDs and burn down more forrsts, dump fentanyl in our reservoirs, we might catch a clue.

Putin probably interprets Trump's claims that he can quickly end the war to mean that Trump will force Ukraine to accept Russia's terms (ceding the areas currently under Russian occupation and promising never to join NATO or the EU). The Ukrainians would not willingly accept such terms but Trump may think he can force them to. Putin might be happy with such an agreement figuring that once Trump leaves office he or his successor can invade Ukraine again and take the rest of Ukraine's Black Sea seacoast.

Whether Trump really intends that, I don't know, but it would be reasonable for Putin to draw that conclusion.

“Putin probably interprets Trump’s claims that he can quickly end the war to mean that Trump will force Ukraine to accept Russia’s terms (ceding the areas currently under Russian occupation and promising never to join NATO or the EU).”

And the only way to do that would be to withdraw US funds going to Ukraine. If that’s what Trump would do, I’ll all for that. Make it so.

THERE ARE NO RUSSIA SUPPORTERS ON FREE REPUBLIC.

THERE ARE PEOPLE WHO DON’T THINK THE US SHOULD BE POURING BILLIONS IN CASH AND MILITARY EQUIPMENT INTO UKRAINE GIVEN ALL OFNOUR DOMESTIC PROBLEMS.

Notably: increasing inflation, depletion of our own stockpiles, and most importantly, 7,000,000,000 and counting, illegal aliens in the country with millions more in the way. And that number doesn’t include all the anchor babies that have been born and will soon be born.

WTF is wrong with you Zelensky Fanbois/girls, keyboard commandos?

“The Russia supporters on FR keep telling us that Ukraine is on the brink of collapse.”

The opposite has been claimed as well, either in articles or posts.

I don’t know what is happening, but I expect Russia is militarily superior to the Ukraine. A lot depends on armaments.

The US pushed militarily technology hard during the Reagan administrations. It was part of Reagan’s war on the Soviet Union. It worked.

Since then what? I doubt that the US has done much to increase, or maintain, fighting power. So, the big question is whether Russia and China have been standing still militarily the last three decades. What do you think?

If it gets to the point where Russia thinks it is losing, going nuclear is an option Putin will consider.

I think one of the central questions is who is the aggressor? The standard story is that Russia is trying to reassemble the Soviet Union. The other story is that Biden and NATO have taken it into their heads to use the Ukraine as a battering ram against Russia. Democrats are capable of any evil and stupid act.

We had peace under President Trump.
