Lauren Boebert ‘Beetlejuice’ scandal starting to smell like a political hit
American Thinker ^ | September 17, 2023 | Olivia Murray

Of course, there’s immediate cause for suspicion and heightened skepticism when high-resolution and infrared video footage, focused right on a high-profile conservative firebrand, from a blacked-out theater, emerges almost simultaneously with the scandal.

###

One user in the comments offered some alleged insight into how internal surveillance typically works, especially if the device was a dome camera, stating this:

The theater cameras are programmed to keep moving. They are supposed to scan for someone intending to do harm to the theater goers. This one was pointed at her for several minutes. Either whoever was watching the cameras was getting his rocks off watching or this was deliberately recorded to create a scandal.

Another implied an additional angle, with this assertion:

You’ve left out only the final piece of the puzzle.

The press and the DeSantis Twitter army were alerted to this story before it emerged and were ready with their moralizing talking points the moment that it did.

Trust no one here piling on Boebert, supporting the proxy war in Ukraine or Ron DeSantis. They are very likely to be Republican operatives pushing the anti-MAGA, establishment agenda.

Sounds like a democrat argument. Yeah I did it but it is not my fault that I got caught.

starting to smell like a political hit

Of course it is a polticical hit. It's jiujitsu using the weak point of our moralizing scolds to throw the Republican party into another tizzy over something silly. "We" fall for it every time. Every single time.

David Brock stated he was coming for them all.

Low hanging fruit first.

Gee, I wonder who could have set her up?....

"Quinn Gallagher, a divorced father-of-one, Denver bar owner, and a Democrat."

It may very well have been a political hit. It likely was.

However, Boebert was a willing participant. Things I would NOT do if I was in the position of Boebert:

- have anything to do with a democrat, other than the normal required polite (if possible) working relationships

- wear a dress out in public that makes you look like a hooker. Displaying as much of your ample bosom as possible is hardly what we want from a conservative leader

- behaving like an unruly 18 year old and disturbing those around you is frowned upon by any normal, mature person

- vaping? grabbing your date’s crotch? having your breasts fondled in a theater? Come on.

Sorry, she has admitted she was out of control so there’s no defending such trashy behavior. I feel for her constituents, but more so for her sons. Great example, mom.

I know the dems get away with this stuff, but if the good guys are going to put themselves out there for running on higher values and morals, they deserve to be castigated for such failures. We blast the left for being bereft of morals and values....why would we expect them to give us a pass?

Gee, I wonder who could have set her up?....

It's our vulnerabilty to our own scolds who set this up. It's easy. We fall for it every single time. I personally don't think Boebert did anything particularly wrong. Ok she will be more careful about the ubuiquity of infrared cameras in the future. But geeze we are all vulnerable to embarrassing things. Scratching yourself when you thought you weren't in public view.

Saw a little blurb about this when looking through some news stories the morning after this happened... story had “moment Boebert is asked to leave theater.” The video went on for about a minute and a half starting in the theater before she is asked to leave, the attendants asking her to leave, the walk through the theatre, out the doors, down the hallways, out to the lobby, outside the theatre in the street, down the street for about two blocks as they are apparently going to their car. At least 10-12 different views from different cameras, and all of the video spliced together for the news cycle the next morning. Compare that to the coverage of cocaine in the White House and Epstein’s jail video...

Whatever happened, a newly divorced woman cannot be respected who is out with some guy drinking

Now move it up to a public figure. Move it up to a congresswoman. Then a Republican self claimed conservative very unwise.

These people can’t see what happens. She’s not watching texas?

Sorry.

Then there’s this behavior. Whether there are cameras out and a spiked drink

Seriously? I was like a kid in the candy store right after my divorce. She probably should have been a little more discreet being a public figure but big deal. Definitely a political hit.

Yup. Don’t act like a handsy whore in a public thezter and then get all mad it gets coverage. If it was a political hit, how about not doing willing participation in your own setup?

Plus, there are The Usual Suspects pouring gasoline on the bonfire on every Boebert thread.

It's pretty easy to find The Usual Suspects, but not everyone has enough time to see the pattern of posts from these individuals.

I guess I’m old enough to remember the dignity and brains of Lady Thatcher. Boebert and MTG are a far cry from Margaret Thatcher. Sadly, those times will not be with us again. Actually, I think Michele Bachmann is a very honorable political figure. Sadly, it is a big deal. I am willing to bet she is serving her last term because of her lapse of good judgment. This would be too bad, as she otherwise has shown remarkable strength under pressure.

No offense, but if we can’t get true leaders from our ranks we are a failure as a movement.

Mother Theresa made the point that “Only the chaste can be truly pro-life.”

JFK was, politically, on the side of the angels on abortion—and Teddy was initially too. But there is a reason Teddy flipped, and unless JFK had, as was rumored, a come-to-Jesus moment shortly before he came-to-Jesus, he would have eventually flipped.

You don’t get to spout off about being conservative and then do all this stuff in a dark public theater. Sorry.

Just because the lights are off doesn’t mean you drop all pretexts of what you claim to be and uphold. Do this kind of stuff in your house and not in public. Conservatives don’t voluntarily put themselves in awkward embarrassing hypocritical situations.

Everyone here is giving her a pass because shes a woman and divorced and isn’t ugly, and any other rationalization they can come up with.

You'll NEVER see a Democrat attack a fellow Democrat where removal might risk the seat or office.

Republican operatives like yourself will ALWAYS attack a vulnerable Republican to increase the legislative seats or offices of the Democrats.

The jig is up for the losers of the Republican Party, who are just here for their share of the grift crumbs that the Democrats drop from the table of the feast.
