Battle lines forming in these key US Senate races
The New York Post ^ | 09/16/2023 | Jon Levine

Sen. Mitt Romney’s (R-Utah) announcement this week that he would not seek re-election won’t change the 2024 Senate math for Republicans — who are as bullish as ever about a red run.

In contrast to their beating in the 2022 midterm elections — the GOP is insisting that 2024 will be a better year.

In November, the GOP lost a seat in Pennsylvania and failed to pick up any new ones, leaving it two votes shy of taking the majority.

Party leaders say the 2024 map — when 33 seats are up for grabs — offers uniquely rosy prospects.

“We are excited to compete on favorable terrain this cycle. The [National Republican Senatorial Committee] is going to recruit top-tier candidates, develop a winning message, and raise the resources we need to ensure we win a Republican majority in 2024,” Sen. Steve Daines (R-Montana) told The Post.

Daines, the new chair of the NRSC, and his colleagues note that three ruby red states in the 2024 cycle, West Virginia, Montana, and Ohio are currently represented by Democrats.

They also insist they are competitive in at least three states Biden narrowly won. [The article provides a breakdown of the battleground states: Montana,W Virginia, Ohio, Wisconsin, Arizona, Michigan]

KEYWORDS: failure; redwave
The red wave which was touted by many pundits and Republicans never came to fruition in 2022. In 2024, Republicans need a candidate who can win the popular vote in the presidential election and has long coattails. Unfortunately, I don’t see this happening.

The answer is staring you right in the face. Your problem is the same as all desanctomonious supporters, you can’t recognize when you’ve lost.

Republicans aren’t even trying.

1) Montana. Rosendale lost once already. The other guy’s a rookie.
2) Ohio. I’m still waiting for the party to get it’s shit together-ABORTION. Explain it.
3) Wisc. Gallager(top tier) not running. Knows he’ll lose. All you need to know.
4) Az. Between Gallegos and Sienma they will come together for the left. There will be
no 3-way fight.

A wave election is our only hope.

A possible wave:

Offer a Contract With Black America. 100% education choice. Nah they wouldn’t care. How about that $20k payout to all those alive before the civil rights act of ‘64? I’ve posted it before.

The rest of America knows the choice would apply to them also-legality. Throw in no taxes on SSI earnings. We can play Santa Claus too. The gummers have earned it.

It’s a wave and the only thing that will stop it are deep state republicans. Every republican ad needs to be pictures of cities, decimated by democrat policies. The violence, the high costs, people losing their livelihoods all should be pinned on democrats. No mercy! Call them idiots, communists, authoritarians. Don’t even try to be nice.

That’s how you win wars.

“The answer is staring you right in the face.”

You’re right. If Trump will start endorsing Dem candidates there’s a good chance we can do better than 2022.

The pubbies led by Romney’s niece still have done nothing about election fraud. They will continue to lose because they are gutless. Trump is the only one that says it like it is.

@MittRomney has announced he is running for the Senate from the wonderful State of Utah. He will make a great Senator and worthy successor to @OrrinHatch, and has my full support and endorsement!

It did come to fruition in 2022. They just weren’t allowed to win. McConnell stood by while a dozen seats were stolen over the past few cycles. The Demonrats even telegraphed they were going to ADD a seat to the Senate via theft in PA. They weren’t even trying to cover up the fraud.

I can think of a candidate who meets those criteria.

Throw in no taxes on SSI earnings.

Theoretically, your Soc ial Security comes from money already taken from you in taxes when you were working. Now, they tax it again. They somehow managed to tax the same dollar twice.

AND he "whipped" votes for her last year, right after the 2022 disaster.

Meanwhile, a certain otehr candidate publicly supported Harmeet Dhillon.

“In November, the GOP lost a seat in Pennsylvania and failed to pick up any new ones, leaving it two votes shy of taking the majority.”

The establishment used the “electability” lie to scare people to vote for their crap candidates who never had a shot in hell of winning statewide.

PA should have been a slam dunk, instead the establishment made sure it was just another craptastic candidate that never had any shot of winning.... and blew 100M trying to sell the turd... costing how many other countless races that the money could have made a difference.

Being a real leader, Ron DeSantis significantly increased election integrity in Florida.

It’s surprising Ronna got elected to be RNC Chair again. One has to be a pretty poor judge of competence to support her after the 2020 and 2022 elections. I guess she just kissed the right keisters.

It’s too bad President Trump didn’t spend more time on election integrity and less time giving interviews to Fake News NBC.

He wasn’t interested in electing any Senator that was not specifically loyal to him. He’d rather serve as leader in a small minority of 100% toadies than majority leader with a good number of reformist outsiders. He should’ve been booted out on his ass long ago.
