The only drug mentioned in the story is Gabapentin:
“The warrant also detailed that Graham told officials she had taken Gabapentin, a pain medication, before leaving to head to Newport News.”

From Wiki:
Gabapentin when taken in excess, can induce euphoria, a sense of calm, a marijuana-like high, improved sociability, and reduced alcohol or cocaine cravings. Also known on the streets as "Gabbies", gabapentin is increasingly abused and misused for these euphoric effects.

Gabapentin is an used to prevent seizures, but drug addicts use it to enhance the effects of illegal drugs.

Thanks. I tried them for Restless Legs Syndrome. They didn’t work.
I didn’t realize that gabapentin is being abused/ a street drug.

I didn’t realize that gabapentin is being abused/ a street drug.Yah, it's a listed drug now. Although is still dispensed via CVS Caremark.
I take a moderate dose to suppress diabetic neuropathy in my feet, but I find that it does also suppress Restless Leg Syndrome. On both counts I sleep a lot better. I'd hate to be without it now. Doesn't get me high in any way I can detect, and having come of age in the '60s I DO know from high.

That crap does NOTHING For My Severe Neuropathy (NOT Diabetic) except put Me to Sleep for 2 days but the pain continues.

The pain killer addict that I know didn’t like his Gabapentin. Left an entire bottle of it behind.

Have you noticed how many dirt bags these days can’t “remember” commiting crimes? The newest excuse. And these SOBs are out there voting and living among us.

Clearly the woman wasn’t the baby’s mother - 40 years old and evidently abusing drugs. Poor baby looks mixed race and had a different last name and a telling first name, so I’m guessing Graham was the grandmother and taking care of the baby while 20-ish baby mama is out out on the town, looking for a replacement for an Amish father who disappeared. Just a theory.

“Graham rolled up the windows in her car and left the dog and child inside.”
Sounds like murder to me.

I have idiopathic neuropathy. Gabapenton was one of the first drugs my doc prescribed. One morning I was moving 90 miles an hour cleaning the kitchen and talking 100 miles an hour. My wife (an ortho surgical PA) was looking at me really closely.
I'm allergic to the stuff, apparently. I came off it.

Interesting side note: Tesla cars have never killed so much as a pet in this way; they automatically ventilate their interior if necessary to prevent that.
