If he’d fired Fauci they wouldn’t have impeached him for it, they would have used thee 25th amendment, and the vote would have been unanimous. Pence would have stayed the course and probably elevated Fauci even more.

Fauci was head of the Center for Infectious Disease. He could easily have been left in that position while Trump chose somebody else for the Covid Czar position. They did not have to be the same person, and there is no law nor regulation that required it. Dems would have squealed, because they’re Dems, but they could not have stopped it. Presidents have full power to choose czars.

Trump could have picked somebody who had some freakin’ common sense, like say, Rand Paul to run covid. But no, it had to be the swampiest of evil swamp creatures.

Trump owns this. 100%. Fauci is just another name on the long, long list of destructive, agenda-driven people that Trump allowed in positions of power in his administration, to all of our detriment.
