Judge rejects request to try all Trump Georgia defendants together next month

A state judge Thursday rejected prosecutors’ request to try all 19 defendants together in the Georgia 2020 election interference case next month.
“The Court joins the skepticism expressed by several federal courts that denying severance always ensures efficiency, especially in ‘mega trials’ such as this,” Fulton County Superior Court Judge Scott McAfee wrote in an order.
McAfee’s ruling means former President Trump will not be tried in October alongside at least two of his co-defendants who invoked their right to a speedy trial.
It marks a major blow to District Attorney Fani Willis (D), who repeatedly urged McAfee to keep the defendants together and try them at the same time.

There is no way that all defendants could be tried together in just a few weeks from now. Good decision by the judge. He had no other choice.

Imagine the size of the courtroom with all of the defendants and all of their lawyers. Perhaps a football stadium might suffice. The Dems would love that. They could install gallows on the field next to the judge’s bench.

Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha! Demon Rat loses.

The judge acknowledged that there wasn’t a big enough courtroom to have such a trial. There isn’t enough room for the defendants, the lawyers, and their staffs. The judge made a sensible decision here.

Fanny Willis must be disappointed by this.
She and her puppet masters have already arranged to have Trump and all other defendants to be found guilty of all charges, all at the same time, and in quick order. The decision by this judge throws a monkey wrench into her devious plan.

The old standard used to be “it is better to release 10 criminals than to convict one innocent person”.
So if the scrunched all the Georgia accused into a single trial, and a few jurors determined that there was simply no way one of the defendants was guilty, would they then be required to acquit the whole bunch, or at least hold out for a hung jury?

The number of attorneys in this country who could actually prosecute a case this complicated with this many defendants and this many legal issues could probably count on one hand and maybe one finger. Have you ever seen a troupe of monkeys raiding a campsite? There is one way to establish order - it involves a rifle to kill off the gang leader and a shotgun and a lot of shells to take out any of the wanna-bes and chase the riff-raff back into the trees.
This is going to be even more chaotic.

On second thought, that wouldn’t work.
They’d keep moving the goalposts!

Security would have been a nightmare. But what does Fani Willis care about security. She cuts violent felons free, and sleeps with gang members she's supposed to be investigating.

Well, Fani certainly believes in the first part of that saying: “It is better to release 10 criminals...”

That was my question—how in the world was Fani going to fit every defendant and their lawyers and team in one court room. This is a bone-headed idea from Fani—she already is the laughing stock of Fulton County—she will be of the world soon enough.
