Judge REJECTS Trump prosecutor Fani Willis' bid to try ALL 18 co-defendants in the Georgia case at the same time - as he sets an October 23 trial date for Sidney Powell

A Georgia judge ruled on Thursday that Donald Trump and 16 others will be tried separately from Sidney Powell and Kenneth Chesebro, who are set to go to trial next month in the case on an alleged scheme to overturn the 2020 election results in that state.

Powell and Chesebro had filed demands for a speedy trial, and Fulton County Superior Court Judge Scott McAfee had set their trial to begin Oct. 23.

The former president and the other defendants asked to be tried separately from the two, with some arguing they would not be ready in time for an October trial.

That's one plus. I suggest folks get together for a Separate-Trial cocktail party.

How many years will it take to get through all these trials?

He made the correct legal decision and I hope Fani fails miserably. It will be a disaster for her.

Well that breaks the dam, now they can all separate. Can she handle 18+ trials at once? Can they afford it?

Fani, a diehard Demorat, rigorously observed the progress of the 2020 election
<><>she “didn’t believe” the 2020 election was accurate,
<><>she “never believed” that her boy Biden won fair and square
<><>her “belief” was that the 2020 election was “rigged.”

Yet, she’s prosecuting Trump because he didn’t believe it, either.

Maybe she ought to investigate, and indict, herself.......snx.

Fani’s Rules For Questioning Election Results
<><>Democrats “just know” it is “obviously illegal” to question when Democrats win elections
<><>but it becomes “an urgent defense of democracy” to question when a Republican wins.
<><>for example, Ga DA Fani Willis did not yet know the outcome of the 2020 election,
<><>ergo, it was ‘legal’ to question it, because she was worried a Republican might win,
<><>but once Democrat Biden (cough) “won,” it now became “retroactively illegal” to question it,
<><>when a Repub questions Ga election results, they are naturally subject to harsh prosecutions.

Clearly, the monopoly on election results conversations is held by Democrats.

Is this all true? Fani never believed Biden won?

We haven’t been winning for quite some time, so, despite this ruling, I figure something else will happen to hinder Trump’s ability to defend himself from his upcoming guilty verdict and sentence.

Make Bubble Butt Fani get off her ass and try each one of them one at a time. The bimbo isn’t doing anything anyway except trying to lynch President Trump for her boyz O’Bonzo, Soros and Hillary.

That’s the beginning of an absolute mess of a trial. Just the commingling of discovery alone...

In Fulton County, in general, speedy trial is not a bad strategy in complex cases due to the DA's incompetence. I used it defending a white collar defendant a decade ago - knowing that the complexity of the financial analysis required would exceed the DA's ability to assemble the case for trial. Sure enough, rather than prosecute the case, they offered a first offender diversion from prosecution (even though it was the 2nd time that defendant had been charged in GA!)

If they have to try all the defendents sequentially—can’t trump get his case to be tried last? Wouldn’t that push his case into 2025?

How many years will it take to get through all these trials?

Best case scenario: after a couple of "Not Guilty" verdicts, pressure mounts to drop the rest of the cases.

Once again proving that using RICO to persecute (yes) Trump, etc. is totally ridiculous.

Interesting. I think, though, that Trump just waived his right to a speedy trial in the GA case.

Free speech. She would argue there’s nothing partisan about her case.
