Needs Booty-juice.
I see a gigantor problem with all these stories about chargers, Granholm’s fiasco and now this. That problem being it gives them reasons to increase spending on their scam.
“If the government invests more money into our scam, I mean these green initiatives, electric toy car owners wouldn’t have the issues they’re having”.
Not good. Just more mi et poured down the drain.
Did he try using his own Butti gieg?
Option one: Throw more money at the problem.
Option two: see option one.
I saw an electric company van driver struggle over and over to get a charging station to work on his van. The irony was precious. After 30 minutes he drove off, without a refill of juice. Probably just went somewhere else, but what a waste of time resources.
To think we’ll be able to go all electric in 6 years is ludicrous. We have gas stations everywhere. Sure there are more and more charging stations coming online, but they take an hour - when they work. And not nearly enough at the present moment. If you can trickle charge at home, I guess that is probably the best idea for EV drivers. Except, here in CA, they don’t want you to do that until after 9 pm. But being “electric” I suppose they could be “smart” enough that you can plug them in at 6 pm with a 9pm start timer.
Interestingly, and it’s probably a good thing, many of the major car makers have decided to adopt the Tesla connection. It would have been stupid if every car maker had a different type of plug.
Or no internet connection to accept a credit card.
This will be a fun thread.
Wait until hoodrats start sabotaging the charging stations.
Can’t Buttigieg just have his electric car hauled around like his bicycle for him to drive the last half mile for the media? That will save a lot of trouble and he might only need to charge it once a month.
If this were China, most of the EU,Canada or Brazil, they could simply nationalize Tesla’s charging stations and technology, assign Elon Musk to a figurehead role (or jail him on phoney charges — or worse.
Problem is, when the Anti-Midas bureaucratics get ahold of anything, it quickly and irreversibly hemorages any innovatoon or business sense, then lies about its failures until it is replaced.
Suppose we went all hydrogen?
ive seen company work trucks with the label this vehicle powered by hydrogen whats that all about?
Two vehicles. One to operate and one to be on charge. The first comes back to be charged and loaded while the other makes deliveries. Repeat.
Yup
What is the recycling value of the charging cables?
Heck, they’ll just do it to foul stuff up.
Problem with hydrogen is that there is no viable delivery network. At least we know electricity is ubiquitous, just tap a nearby line and run some cable. Gasoline, it has 100+ years of infrastructure supporting it. Where do you go, who do you call, to refill hydrogen? Though at truck depots you could install liquid hydrogen tanks to refill semi trucks, which would presumably be delivered by tanker trucks like gasoline is. But not, imo, viable for everyday driving. Not even for most industrial uses. Maybe for a few, and the virtuous
Mr Butt-whatever could not pass EE 101 at any university. Let the simpleton talk all he wants. He is, at most, a dumb*ss.
Or having a pack of bros "guarding" the charging stations and requiring a premium payment to use "their" charging stations.
Can’t charge his buttplug?
