A Mexican ufologist might have just made one of the biggest discoveries in human history - he reportedly unveiled two 'alien bodies' at a gathering of the Mexican congress.
The special event was held as part of the Mexican Congress' hearing regarding UFOs.
Jaime Maussan, a Mexican journalist and ufologist, unveiled the two 'alien bodies' in front of the Congress, claiming that carbon dating had put their age as 'at least 1,000 years'.
My understanding of the carbon dating method says it would be meaningless in this case. It is based on the known and supposedly consistent levels of radioactive carbon on earth. Carbon-based life forms maintain a steady level of carbon-14 during their life. When they die, the radioactive carbon in their body continues its natural decay, but is not replaced. Thus, measuring the amount of radioactive carbon present in an object, like wood or bodies, will tell you how long it has been since the life form died.
What are the odds that an alien planet has the same levels of radioactive carbon as the earth? Until that is proven, aren’t carbon dating results for alien creatures meaningless?

I was wondering about the odds of testable DNA evolving on two separate planets... With a 70% similarity no less!
