Public safety was on the minds of Oakland residents and city leaders as they rallied outside -- and inside -- a community meeting Saturday. John Ramos reports.
The scary part of this is citizens saying that crime is now being unreported (estimated half of all crime incidents) because of lack of police action.
Every now and then the citizens squawk about all the out of control gangster thug crime. Then nothing is done about it at all.
Oakland has been the anus of the Bay Area for seven decades.
A crime ridden blight, all for imported black laborers for WW2.
But silent for the at least the last 3 years while continuing to vote Rat.
An Oriental female mayor who refuses to declare a state of emergency, a soft-on-crime “restorative justice” Negress DA who calls her critics racists, and a zombie populace that won’t stop voting for these corrupt Communists. No surprise that crime is exploding.

“Addressed” means they will do everything and anything but hire lots more police, crack beads, and throw the book at the criminals.
These residents probably still have a “defund the police” mentality and just can’t figure out why crime has soared.
As soon as all the non-criminals leave crime will go away I think that’s the plan

MOST crimes are never reported to the police. The exceptions are homicides, which are usually reported (because it is hard to hide bodies) and car thefts (because insurance companies require a police report.)
In Oakland it is probably much worse than they are reporting.

I sometimes wonder if we should not go back in time from ‘Defund the cops” to the days of “fat cops eating doughnuts”.
Its not just Oakland. It stretches from Hayward to Richmond. Just one cesspool after another.
