Your comment seems to miss the point. The reality is that Trump could not have fired Fauci without getting tied up in an approximately 3 year process. That’s not an excuse; it’s a reality. What Trump could do he did. He publicly said That Trump did not always agree w/Fauci and he sidelined Fauci, brought in Trump’s own people on the task force.
Excuse ≠ Explanation of the law & the procedures so that people unaware of the facts are not confused.

Ronny was effusive in his praise of Fauci and a reliable proponent of every Fauci recommendation from business, spring break and school closures, tightly controlled reopenings, mandatory isolation for visitors to the state, masks including for children, social distancing, testing and strongly pushed vaccines because “they work”.
The only thing RDS wanted but didn’t get was a ban on national travel.
Keep in mind, seven states run by Republican governors said “no” to the recommendations and Florida wasn’t one of them.
