The Connecticut Centinal has viewed internal text messages (on PV devices/servers) between former Project Veritas (PV) head James O'Keefe and board members at PV.

What emerges is an image of O'Keefe constantly traveling and fundraising, while at the same time relaying the stress he is under to deliver large donations to the board.

In the fall of 2022, O'Keefe begins to complain of firm management stamping large checks with his signature (illegally according to O'Keefe) and lack of cash flow analysis on a timely basis.

On February 21, 2023 declared on social media he had been removed from his position as head of PV by the board of directors.

Was O'Keefe asking too many questions regarding the company's finances?

stamping large checks with his signature

Sounds like he was hacked within his own organization.

Exactly!
The left has discovered its much easier to destroy someone by infiltrating the organization.

Not surprising. The world has too often been run by those willing to be unethical for self-gain. IMHO most of these people have little else to bring to the table - so the least qualified and least creative among us wind up in charge.

I bet that every member of the PV board secures a cushy executive position at DS cutout companies after PV evaporates.

“Was O’Keefe asking too many questions regarding the company’s finances?”

No. He embarrassed Pfizer. A fatal mistake for any public figure.

This is the opposite of what was being reported initially.

O’Keefe wasn’t fired, he quit when the PV board wanted his spending of PV money to be subject to oversight.

Apparently he had complete autonomy over writing PV checks and there were reasons that led the board to think that he had been spending PV money on expensive personal items.

The board were concerned about their own legal vulnerability over PV’s use of its donations. You can find this information in the initial stories.

‘We’re Bankrupt’: Leaked Meeting Reveals Project Veritas On Verge of Collapse

“The bills that are owed and everything, and there’s lawyers threatening to like, to force us into bankruptcy, and come take all this stuff,” Giles said. “So, I do not want us, I do not want to declare bankruptcy or go into bankruptcy, but we have to imagine that’s where we’re at so how do we get to the point where we’re clawing our way out of that situation?”

“So, we’re under water?” one staffer asked. Giles responded: “Yeah.”
