Yes. It will be the seven dwarfs instead of single digit midgets. DeSantis will never have my support. He *was* bought and paid by big donors. When DeSantis parroted the talking points of the big donors and sunk into oblivion in the polls the big donors fled. DeSantis isn’t his own man and lacks principles. He’s a life long government employee and has zero success in the private sector. In other words, he’s out of touch with working Americans. Proof positive: he’s pissed off the most significant and motivated base the Republican Party has had in decades. That’s just plain stupid.
DeZombie doesn’t realize he’s dead.
“...but you either have a path or you don’t. And if you don’t have a path, then we should focus on the candidates, that have a conceivable shot at this,” DeSantis said.”
So why isn’t DeSantis focusing on Trump?
Based on the numbers, Trump and Haley won. Haley is going to start sharing thr financing with Mo. Not only the polls but the media starting to go to bat for her. Mo has to actually debate but he won’t because he’s a walking talking point.
Desantis is a smart man
I want to see he him more forceful against the other candidates
I want less talking points and more debating, he is strong when he talks from the heart and good and powerful at dismantling the journalists questions.
I really like Desantis.
I like his âÂÂwe will use force â comment about border security
Ron is Tanned, Rested and Ready! ;)
Unless Larry Elder is on stage I will find something else to watch.Snore
Weedsuckers hate DeSantis for opposing legalization of their brain mutilating drug and think Trump will bring in legalizer Swamy.
Are the parameters for round 2 different from round 1???
NIKKI HALEY KNOWS SHE IS NOT ELIGIBLE TO BE PRESIDENT.
IMO-—SHE SHOULD BE CHARGED WITH FRAUD FOR ACCEPTING DONATIONS
The people here are acting like babies. You and I have not had 1/100th the political success of RDS.

That has nothing to do with my simple comment.
DeSanctus does not understand his campaign is a failure.
His only shot is if Trump departs this earth.
Even then, he has already alienated too many MAGA voters to win.
And that is if there is an election in 2024.
Only the dumbest MAGA voters would not vote for him. One would literally have to be an imbecile.

I can envision reasons. Nor would it matter - Rob would lose.
You sound like a Trump idolator. Our crisis is too serious to place faith in only one man. I think that name-calling blind followers are pathetic, thinking that saving America is some kind of a game.
I'm sticking with DeSantis until he's out of the race, whether that be on Election Day (unlikely) or he ends his campaign during the primaries.
I'm sticking with him because nobody else has the record of conservative accomplishments and stalwart executive leadership that he has repeatedly demonstrated. I look for action, not words.
This being said, he is showing himself to be poor campaigner. He just can't close the deal. And as much as I enjoyed the victories, I think his "war on woke" is hurting him.
The best chance he has now is to pivot to economic issues, which are Trump's strong points (at least for the first three years of his administration). But Florida has a booming economy as well, with a record $22 billion surplus last year.
Yet this will be an election on the economy and when gas prices at the pump exceed $6-7/gallon next year (and I believe they will), Trump will remind us all of the we were paying under $2/gallon for much of his first term. This is going to be a big selling point. If Trump screwed up everything in 2020, he had a booming economy with plenty of jobs and low interest rates prior to that. This can't be denied.
I am resigning myself to the reality that the primaries are essentially over and Trump will be the GOP nominee. And if he is, I will vote for Trump because at the end of the day, Trump is better than Biden. Hell, Nikki Haley, Chris Christie, Tim Scott, and Vivek Ramaswamy are better than Biden!
It's a shame though. GOP primary voters would rather be led by a cult of personality than a true executive leader with a record of accomplishments. It is what it is though.
I hope Trump can pull it off. His victory will depend on Biden voters staying home.
Still, Ron DeSantis is the leader Trump tries to be and that's the truth. And when he keeps bashing DeSantis with lies, it only shows Trump as the sad, little man that he has become.
Ronald Reagan could not “close the deal” either, with the lawfare the jack-booted Nazi thugs are conducting against Trump.
Very good analysis BTW. I enjoyed reading it.
I believe wholeheartedly that Trump is a victim of overzealous prosecution. But it all points to his weakness in leadership that he couldn't fight this stuff when he was the most powerful man in the world.
Remember during the early days of the Mueller investigation? Remember wishing for Trump to punch someone back? "Fire someone! Hit back! You're the g*d d*mned President! ACT LIKE IT!"
And he never did.
He was never a fighter. He was a human punching bag, letting himself get bloodied one hit after the next.
And now he's facing the possibility of prison over incompetents like Fani Willis and Alvin Bragg. Are you FREAKIN' KIDDING ME?!?!? YOU LET THESE IDIOTS GET THE BEST OF YOU?!?!?!
But, as I said up-thread, the nomation is his. It's now clear. The recent WSJ poll cemented this into my head.
I really hope he doesn't screw it up. I don't have much faith.
