Mar-a-Lago IT worker Yuscil Taveras has struck a cooperation agreement with the special counsel’s office in the federal case over former President Donald Trump’s handling of classified documents, Taveras’ former defense attorney said in a new court filing.

Taveras struck the deal with prosecutors after he was threatened with prosecution, defense attorney Stanley Woodward wrote in the filing dated Tuesday.

Taveras is referred to in the filing and in the superseding indictment as “Trump Employee 4,” and CNN has identified him as that employee.

According to the terms of the deal explained in the filing, Taveras agreed to testify in the classified documents case and in exchange will not be prosecuted. He has not been charged with any crimes.

Another one bites the dust. Trump's not doing will with his employment picks. Is it the picks or is it Trump?

I think most people, including yourself, would turn on your family and friends if threatened with jailtime. Obstruction is a BS charge that allows the FBI extra-Constitutional powers to jail people for not being willing to convict themselves.

So, the Feddies promise this guy he’ll get off if he lies and say what they want him to say? Damn America sure went down the toilet fast. Threaten a bastard so he lies in court and this is now good. There was a time the Feddies would not have been able to get away with this kind of booschidt.

This is extortion and witness tampering. Extortion is a serious felony.

He had to agree to agree to a federal public defender in order to get this deal. Can’t really blame him, but the extortion and witness tampering will be exposed in deposition and trial. Hope he got the agreement in writing or recorded a call discussing the deal. If so, he is home free when he reveals the extortion on a witness stand.

Deep State doing what it does best, use Lawfare to bankrupt any Republican non-billionaire via millions in white collar crime legal fees.

Any “conservative” should be ashamed to support this, rather than gleeful.

Yup,that's The Big Guy's game.Trump subordinates are offered six months for a misdemeanor or ten years for each of five felonies. And their lawyers let them know that there's no way they'll ever be prosecuted for perjury.Of course with a DC jury the prosecutor wouldn't have to offer any witnesses...just an opening statement.

Lawfare...a dark art perfected by Rat Party Headquarters' legal team.

You’re a jerk. I notice we have a lot of people with agendas who raise unfair and illogical arguments.

1 Who cares what “IT worker” you think Trump directly hired. He didn’t and it wasn’t a political appointment.

2 Trump did nothing worthy of prosecution and claims like this have never been brought in American history.

Stop the insults! The point in the post is that another Trump hire has turned against him. Explain that without insults.

I answered you on the facts no one considers a frigging IT worker to be a hire by Trump that warrants criticism.

And you took a direct shot at Trump as well.

And I guess you posted this as good news because you hate Trump so much. I have no tolerance for people that betray our great president who is innocent.

This guy can’t afford to battle to federal government. When it comes to criminal prosecution it is every man for himself.

If you think this is bad, wait until the Lawyers in the GA case start singing. There is no way those lawyers are going to allow themselves to be disbarred for a client who never bothered to pay their bill. Loyalty goes both ways.

It’s going to be a sad few months for a lot of people around here. They will blame “us”, but never turn their attention to the guy on trial.

“Taveras struck the deal with prosecutors after he was threatened with prosecution, defense attorney Stanley Woodward wrote in the filing dated Tuesday.”

Be afraid, very afraid. Any Freeper who thinks this isn't a threat against the average Joe is a fool. You Reno would take this deal that Taveras took assuming you want to escape bankruptcy. Be very afraid. All Republican candidates should be very vocal against the Weaponized DOJ. But I only hear crickets.
