I also grew up in Queens, NY in the 1940s and early 50s. I lived in a pleasant neighborhood and left at 10 years old. Was a great city then with the Dodgers in Brooklyn, the Giants at the Polo Grounds in upper Manhattan and the Yankees in the Bronx. I walked to school safely I might ad. Played stick ball in the street and never heard of crime. I haven't been back since and wouldn't consider it.
Wow thats where I grew up, Queens. First Bayside then Woodside then Sunnyside which is where James Caan grew up. I was there around 5 years ago and Woodside is like illegal alien central now. They actually has signs posted underneath the 7 train warning women not to walk alone at night because of rape. And think of all the heat Trump got when he said rapists were coming across the border. He was 100% right.
I grew up in the 1960s, 1970s I wasnt really into baseball back then but I absolutely remember kids playing stickball in the street. My mom would let me play outside by myself when I was 5 never had any trouble. Today I assume I would be kidnapped by one of the sex traffickers Biden allows to flood into the country.
