Rep. Greene Blasts Proud Boys Leader 22 year sentence: "Despicable"
Twitter/X ^ | Sep 6 | Rep. Greene

Posted on 09/06/2023 3:20:35 AM PDT by RandFan

@RepMTG

This is designed to send a loud and clear message from Joe Biden and his thugs in the DOJ: If you oppose us, you’re going to jail. For a long time.

We are witnessing a communist takeover of our judicial system to target political enemies and destroy their lives.

It’s despicable.

Replying to @kyledcheney

BREAKING: Judge Kelly has sentenced Enrique TARRIO to *22 years* years in prison, calling him the clear, singular leader of a seditious conspiracy that threatened the transer of power.

“How many GOPers will speak out?”

I’m thinking no more than five.

Why haven’t the GOP house released all of the videos that prove the whole J6 was BS. Why haven’t they impeached Biden, Myorkas. Why was the Inflation Reduction Act signed?

Useless, pussy whipped azzholes that’s why

Our problem is not that the Democratic Party has gone communist. Our problem is that the GOP has slithered under teh surface of the water and is cowering in the dank dark places at the bottom of the swamp.

They stop that odd really bad thing the left wants. But they believe that is enough and get nothing for their constituents. us. That is the real tragedy of our two party system. One went rogue and the other went silent.

Trump is their enemy because he showed them up for what they are. They were happy basking on the banks of the Nile and every now and again feasting on some big fat cow that wandered too close. Now Trump tried to make them do their jobs and they hate him almost as much asd they despise us.

The entire GOP DC swamp critters from Mitch down to Rona are our mortal enemies, not the communist democrats who at least sort of somehow take care of their constituents. Then there is the biggest fattest laziest slimiest of the bunch, Good Ol' Texas gator Cornyn talkin about how we have to find a way to keep the greenbacks flowing into the fetid mess and not shut it down because we have some minor disagreements.

Thr clear singular leader....So this puts Trump in the clear? I suspect the next judge will call HIM the clear singular leader as well. This is pathetic.

“They” keep calling Jan 6 a riot or insurrection. It wasnt. Just a peaceful protest except for the embedded cops causing violence.

Nothing even close to what Antifa and BLM did.

But next time, it will be full on. Coming soon. Will be televised.

"Democratic Party has gone communist"

It's not just them and the specific flavor of totalitarianism doesn't matter, though I would prefer right wing vs left wing in the vein of Franco and Pinochet.

Notice repubs allow this to happen and keep "bringing the knife to a gunfight" and thereby reveal their loyalty.

I’m looking for examples of persons convicted of plots to commit political violence.

22 years sounds excessive, but maybe not as much as some people think

Shihab Ahmed Shihab Shihab, convicted of a plot to assassinate former President George W. Bush - 15 years

https://www.dispatch.com/story/news/courts/2023/03/08/iraqi-columbus-pleads-guilty-court-plotting-assassinate-george-bush/69964157007/

Michael Steven Sandford, convicted of attempting to kill Donald Trump, then a candidate for President, at a campaign rally in Las Vegas - 4 months (!)

https://apnews.com/article/df0f9ed735d244faa4cdcb2f4b4ae484

Rodolphe Jaar, convicted in the U.S. of a plot to kill the President of Haiti - life

https://abcnews.go.com/US/wireStory/us-judge-sends-haitian-businessman-imprisonment-life-haitis-99792114

The above three examples are way short of a statistically valid sample. But, I will say - having seen the attempt on Trump’s life in real time - I am aghast at the 4 month’s sentence. What was the judge in that case thinking?

I was originally going to stop at three examples, but the 4 months sentence for somebody who attempted to assassinate Trump so unnerved me, I thought to look for the protester who attacked Biden at a 2020 campaign rally in California. This was the case where Jill Biden intervened between her husband and the attacker.

It took some doing, the media avoided identifying the attacker. But, I eventually got the name. Priya Sawhney. An animal rights activist. She has been involved in numerous assaults on people, in the name of animal rights. I didn’t find her sentence in the Joe Biden attack, but I did in a subsequent attack on Jeff Bezos: 1 day.

No. 1 day. 4 months. These sentences are wrong. I’m withholding judgment on 22 years. But, there should be significant jail time for attempted assassination, and meaningful sentence for professional protestors who break the law.

Actually that is incorrect. There is this thing called the central limit theorem. take a few samples and take their mean. and look at the dispersion. The likelhood of the scatter from a million samples being much different is very small. Don't be fooled by the "that's not a valid" sample crowd. It's on them to go show how a much larger samlple differs much from that.

After what I wrote, I thought to mention the sentence given to the person who attacked Senator Rand Paul in 2017: originally 30 days (which equaled time served). Later, after reconsideration, 9 months in jail (including time served) followed by 6 months home confinement.

30 days (the original sentence)? For putting a U.S. Senator in the hospital?

Let me quote Baretta, don’t do the crime if you can’t do the time. Hey, lots of people can do 30 days.

Hey, speaking of Baretta, a blast from the past:

When will people see that lawfare is warfare and jailing someone for 22 years is an act of civil war.

In Trump’s impeachment trial, in the Senate, in 2021, the House managers steered clear of the underlying issue (whether the election was stolen) and focused on the language of “fight” for political positions; namely, that the language was common among politicians. They got Trump off. We will see if Trump goes there in his criminal trials in D.C. and in Ga.

Pelosi refusing the National Guard protection of the Capitol when Chief Of Police of Capitol police requested it along with President Trump.
Has any reporter ever asked her why she refused those requests?

I think they are fully aware. They just don’t care, as long as they don’t make waves, and they get to keep their jobs.

Yet another example of the political stranglehold the U.S. Chamber of Crypto-Fascist, Crony Commerce has on the body politic. It is best represented by the criticism many Republican Senators are blamed for practicing, the “go along to get along” policy, perfectly suited to achieving the Chamber’s political goals.
