When it comes to Democrats, there is no easy day, its political warfare, 24/7/365 on all fronts.

You mentioned in New Mexico the Democrats eliminated a Republican Minority district, did the Republicans sue over that and if not, why not, could the reason be Republican took the loss and went home to cry.

I feel good about the Florida, they have upheld a couple of DeSantis actions recently, we’ll see but I have hope in that case.

Apparently the Republicans did sue in New Mexico back in January of 2022, a couple of weeks after the Democrats implemented their gerrymander.

I haven’t found any link to the outcome, but seeing as how the Rat districts were used 10 months after the suit was brought and are still in line to be used 2 years after THAT, I think we can guess how it went.

You are certainly correct about how nowadays the battle over redistricting never ends — until the Democrats get what they want.

In 2024 we’re going to (or very likely will) see new Democrat-friendly maps in:

Alabama (+1 Rat seat in the House)
South Carolina (+1)
Louisiana (+1)
New York (+3 to 5, probably)
Ohio (unknown impact yet, but +something)
Florida (Rats aren’t going to settle for just +1)
Tennessee (+1)
Wisconsin (+2 and they may go for +3)
Georgia (+1 minimum)

Perhaps others. These aren’t ALL (hopefully) going to happen, but don’t be surprised if they do.

As it stands now the one place where the GOP can fight back is in North Carolina, where Democrats illegally seized control of the last redistricting. The Republicans could pick up a seat or 2 there if they ever get around to trying.... at least until the Rats sue (and win) against whatever plan the NCGOP creates.
