In August, the unemployment rate jumped 0.3 points, from 3.5% 3.8%, as the number of long-term unemployed increased, the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) reported Friday.

The nation’s unemployment rate jumped 0.3 percentage point to 3.8% in August, as the number of unemployed persons increased by 514,000 to 6.4 million.

Among the unemployed, the number of job losers and persons who completed temporary jobs increased by 294,000 to 2.9 million in August, offsetting a decrease of 280,000 in July.

The increases in health care, leisure and hospitality, social assistance, and construction continue a positive trend, as these industries have been leading the way in job growth. However, there was a decline in employment in the transportation and warehousing sector, which could be attributed to various factors such as supply chain disruptions and labor shortages. …

What’s worse is that we’re replacing full time jobs with part time jobs.

And the previous months revised downward. Of course they were, cause they lied in reporting the numbers then.

Biden talks about what a disaster Trump was for the economy. He uses COVID lockdown numbers to back it up!

Biden vs Trump no COVID….no contest. One with rapidly expanding economy, one with ‘revised downward’ every month.

The lockdown numbers are due to state government decisions. Even with those, the 2020 economy was light-years ahead of any Biden usurper regime year.

Ok, here's the plan fellow seditionists: Lie our asses off now, then 'revise downward' later when attention spans have evaporated !

I heard an expert say the other day that the “Real” (U-6) August unemployment rate was 7.1%.

I was able to verify that a few minutes ago.

“Unexpected”

What I want to know ... who are the ones “expecting” or “unexpecting” .. these things ?

Seems like they may not be to bright. Do they check with a group of 8 year olds or something.

Weathermen and Economic forecasters .... wrong 90% of the time, but they still have jobs .... nice work if you can get it.

But you need to work 3 jobs to earn what you did from your single job 3 years ago and it looks better in the “jobs created” column, boosting the Shuffling Corpse’s bottom line!

Critical thinking is in short supply nowadays. It’s easier to grow your wisdom and thinking skills from TikTok and the other internet purveyors of “knowledge”.

Again with the adjustments up and down, like when O was POTUS. Only this time they do the adjustments down after the the bad news instead of the other way around, which is inept spin.

The underemployed are still “employed”. A nuclear physicist employed as a dish washer is “employed,” as is a full-time worker gone down to part time. The stats on this and inflation are CYA only, no connection to reality.

Well, we wanted the cheaper prices that the free trade deals were supposed to bring us, but no one told us what we were supposed to buy those products with when the high paying jobs over here became the low paying jobs in other countries.

After after all of that, where are those cheaper prices and "benefits to the consumers" we were promised?

Lie our asses off now, then 'revise downward' later when attention spans have evaporated !

Once you accept the fact that everything the government/mockingbird/media complex reports is a lie, life becomes easier to navigate.

Not easier to live.

They're still making life miserable, but when you know where the liars are directing the herd, you can avoid going over the cliff with the rest of them.
