We may not be that far away in some areas.
Our on call construction guy recently bought a small condo in an ocean small town with basically no real grocery stores.
He was spending a few days there and got a flyer talking about free groceries at the community center 2 days a week.
He went and got up to date groceries for free at the center.
So, he told a bachelor uncle living in the town. The uncle got a cab and went to the center, got free groceries and a free ride home.
Our contractor told us, and we told the lady who takes care of my wife’s hair. She told her recently widowed dad and his brother living in the coastal town. Now they get their groceries from the center and help the other “customers”!
