Street savages steal everything that isn’t bolted down. Stores close because they exist for the profit motive and are losing money. Liberals wail and moan about “food deserts.”
What will liberals do? Will they rush to “solve” the problem they created by setting up free food places, delivering free food, bringing in free food trucks?
If they do that, it will fail too because the street savages will pillage and plunder the free food places, attack and kill the food delivery people, and trash and strip the food trucks overnight.
Liberal “solutions” to problems always fail, prompting liberals to double down on their “solutions”, which will also fail, causing them to strengthen their failing “solutions”, .... repeat until doomsday.
Eventually the local D governments will have to take over and run the food stores. The pillaging will continue, as you noted. But the government can run the stores at a loss (to an extent), where a private company cannot.
There is one more factor to consider. Even well-intentioned D leaders cannot do anything competently. Their minds are always in The Land of Make Believe.
So no way can this end well. And of course it’s the innocent folks in the community who will suffer the most.

As I have put it especially for the last 3 years or so, “they’re doubling, tripling, and quadrupling down”, rolling all their dice at the same time, taking everything to the limit, and expecting no real resistance to it, whether it be the ongoing attempt to carry out new Covid strictures, or illegal border crossings, or proposing the hegemonic rights of school boards over the rights of parents—by doing so many things at once, they confound the opposition which doesn’t know where to turn, or even starting a process of opposition that will be at all effective. We are dealing, quite simply, with people who think the last “election” gave them a mandate for Revolution. Whether they stole it or rigged it doesn’t matter. “Most” “seemed” to agree that they “won” it.
