But as with many Tesla-related things, there is a secret, thinly obscured by an Oz-like curtain, at the Harris Ranch Supercharger. Hidden in plain sight across the way from the Harris Ranch Supercharger’s main stations, behind a Shell station, is a small diesel plant that has helped power Tesla’s footprint.
Go figure

Why is that a problem, or a surprise?
Elon Musk has been campaigning for more electric power generation for years.
He has been saying the obvious: the electric grid cannot handle the load of significant numbers of electric vehicles.

If your electric providers can’t guarantee enough electricity, you make your own.

This is only a "secret" to those who are too ignorant to understand how electricity is generated.

Stating the obvious: And the diesel came from a refinery powered by coal/gas to refine petroleum.
I want to see a video of Q&A on the street and watch lib heads explode.

“across the way from the Harris Ranch Supercharger’s main stations, behind a Shell station,”
And the author could not document his assertions!

They outa put the “supercharger” on the diesel generator. Then the wolds largest charging station might have over 100 bays.

“Niedermeyer told SFGATE in an email Friday that while he doesn’t have current information about the specifics of the Harris Ranch Supercharger,”
Eight years and no updates!

It’s a dirty secret that electric cars must be powered by hydrocarbons? I thought everyone knew that, just like to conveniently forget about it.

Surprise! To power electric cars, one needs fossil fuels. Wow! Who would ever have guessed.
Man, people are simply stupid.

Interesting they would build a charging station like this basically in the middle of no where. Coalinga, except for the fact they are half way between SF and LA on I-5, they are also on the end of the 198 coming from the east through the central valley.
But with the new problem these stations are getting into it is truly in the middle of no where: people are getting pissed there is no one there to accept cash so they are breaking the card readers in spite and rendering them useless.

I’m glad to see the article mention’s Tesla’s massive lie which claimed that 100% of all electricity furnished through it’s supercharger network would be from renewable sources by the end of 2021.

The entire environmental movement is a dirty little secret. Nothing they say is true and they have no answers for their problems.
The secret? All of the above is to further a hidden agenda to severely restrict the pursuit of happiness for all mankind save the super rich elite.
The Elite are positioning themselves to enjoy a world where they won't have to see, or be bothered by, we peons. Boomers will be gone by the time this comes to pass and the fools who enabled it are going weep for what they've lost.
