DA Fani Willis violates the law
Reactionary ^ | 9/2/23 | Technofog

Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis has gone from criminalizing court filings to committing crimes with respect to her own court filings.

Georgia law makes it unlawful to knowingly file a court document “knowing or having reason to know that such document is false or contains a materially false, fictitious, or fraudulent statement or representation.” Ga. Code Ann. § 16-10-20.1(b)(1).

DA Willis is well-aware of this law; she charged a number of Defendants – including Donald Trump, Rudy Giuliani, and John Eastman – with a violation of that law for filing in a document that contained a “materially false statement in federal court.” And she just violated it this week.

Interesting dissection of Fani Willis' filings in the Georgia case against Trump by Technofog.

Looking at her hurts my eyes. Isn’t there some kind of law against that?

I’ll testify on your behalf if you can find such a law. :-)

Mine as well. But what hurts my brain is the people being promoted, appointed, or elected into such positions based upon D.I.E. principles rather than their knowledge of the law. Requesting a speedy trial does not mean you give up all your other trial or discovery rights according to law.

For Willis to assert such a allegation, in a court filing no less, shows she is either operating in a political manner and cares not whether any findings by the Court are later over-turned, or she is so ignorant of actual law that she believes what she contends in her filings are true.

I pity the poor defendants with no competent attorney who have to appear in her court if this is the type of motion she files with the Court.

We have not yet counted all the ways in which DA Fani Willis has flaunted and outright violated the law. Lawfare is a very blunt weapon purposely used to inflict trauma and chaos on what is supposed to be a dispassionate application of considered judgment and attribution of justice.

That concept has been whipped away in the whirlwind.

Correct. Asserting one's constitutional rights is not a negotiation.

I don’t take people like Willis seriously.

Once I see they’ve swallowed the lie hook, line, and sinker, I don’t need any more analysis that it’s just another whack job on the side of the enemy Left.

At the end of they day folks will realize that not only is she not smart. Every bit of this is being orchestrated by Smith and Garland.

Sadly, there are laws that protect prosecutors and judges.

The judge in the case worked for Kemp and Willis. I’d love to see Pres Trump drop the hammer on both of them and sue the pants off of them.

Georgia law makes it unlawful to knowingly....
Well! Is it not also true that fannie supposedly knows that President Trump knows that the 2020 election was perfect and fair and that he really really lost to resident joe elect.
Isn’t that a whole lot of knowings going on there?
Dumb face on

I am sorry to be stupid
So what she is doing is illegal
and she is accusing Trump of doing the same thing she is doing?

That’s pretty much it.

“Georgia law makes it unlawful to knowingly file a court document “knowing or having reason to know that such document is false or contains a materially false, fictitious, or fraudulent statement or representation.” Ga. Code Ann. § 16-10-20.1(b)(1).”

She is accusing Trump of such a violation. However, she is doing the same by filing a court document misstating the law and citing cases that are not on point in regards to the Trump co-defendant’s requests for speedy trials.

She was elected by the voters of Fulton County GA. The voters were much more impressed by the color of her skin and her radical background rather than her knowledge of the law or lack thereof. That appears to be how certain urban demographics roll.

Prosecutors such as Willis were given absolute immunity for actions such as these, by the Supreme Court in 1976.

They can lie, coach witnesses in lying, falsify evidence, withhold evidence and cannot be sued until it goes to trial, maybe later.

Fani is the poster girl for affirmative action.

Looks like she got her law degree on her knees.

Fani Willis withheld exculpatory evidence
Evidence Exonerating Georgia’s Alternate Electors

In her Aug. 14 laughable indictment of Trump, Fani Willis alleged
<><>the existence of Republican electors for Trump constituted an unlawful “conspiracy” to overturn 2020 election results.
<><>Willis falsely claimed these alternate electors “unlawfully falsely held themselves out” as Georgia’s “duly elected and qualified” presidential electors.
<><>She further insisted these electors intentionally attempted to “mislead.”

However, among the documents Willis has in her possession obtained during her years-long investigation of Republicans was a meeting transcript refuting her allegations which she willfully withheld.

<><>A transcript of the Georgia Republican electors’ Dec. 14, 2020, meeting, obtained by The Federalist, explicitly shows the intent
<><>that casting alternate electors was not to impersonate public officers, as Willis alleged, but to lawfully preserve Trump’s legal challenge to the state’s election results.
<><> documents specifically noted how the electors were acting as “Republican nominees for Presidential Elector,” not as “duly elected and qualified” presidential electors.
