Couple of points:

Fire was very hot, most were just bones not bodies. Difficult to ID or even may miss in the search.

Two it’s an island, how many went out to sea?

#21. You are exactly right. Hence the fence. Government doesn't want the sheep seeing FBI Forensics teams sifting through the ashes looking for the children.

Logically, where in hell does the media think these kids went? Strolling down the beach looking for drift wood?

Depending which news source you use, the current number of missing is a little over 300. Three weeks ago it was over 3000. As the number of missing radically drop the number of dead did not rise a tremendous amount.

Again, I’ve been on a number of these and it always plays out the same.

You can be dust and those cadaver dogs will find you. They used them a few years ago to find remains of WWII servicemen in the South Pacific. That’s over 75 years and they were able to find bodies with less remains than they are finding in Lahaina.

There aren’t 1700 bodies floating in the sea either. It’s difficult to find an article detailing how many bodies were found in the ocean, but it wasn’t that high.

Every fire I’ve have followed has a few hundred that remain missing for about a year or so. The Camp Fire in Paradise, CA has only one still missing from a high of 6000 and they aren’t even sure if the missing woman was even in the area at the time of the fire.

24 are still missing from the World Trade Center and only 1106 have been identified. All victims in Lahaina will be identified. The missing is another issue, but it won’t stay at 300.

I am not saying you are wrong, but as I understand it, unlike the other 49 states all Hawaiian public schools are state schools, not really local. That is how the state can keep track of kids enrolling in other schools.

So why aren’t they doing a head count, have all children with parents report to a building for counting.

I would think that surviving parents have contacted the police or FEMA if some of their children are still missing. That should give some idea of how many children may be deceased.

I seriously doubt the enrollment would be off by 50%, it that was the case.

The real number of dead children must he very high.
