But Ramaswamy’s rhetoric is actually pretty racist and anti-immigrant. He described the movement of undocumented immigrants into the U.S. as an “invasion.” He characterized people coming in from the Southern border as criminals, much like Donald Trump has on many occasions.

He is NOT anti-immigrant. He is anti-undocumented immigrants and so are a lot of other people, me included. Hundreds of thousands are entering the US illegally and those who do so are, but definition, criminals. We have a path to legal immigration. Any other form of immigration is illegal and those who so act are criminals. You may not like what Ramaswamy says, but that says more about you than it does about him.
