It's become impossible to regard the USA as a healthy functioning representative republic, so how much more so is it impossible to regard a puppet state of its bureaucratic overlords?
If you are one of the self-anointed elites, you wish to do to the Russians what you've done to the American people, I get it. The sort of people who think themselves above everyone else are full of plans to "better" them. But turning the world into woke misgendered fascists will not be an improvement, and will not create any sort of utopia.
It's not really a concern anyway. The people who lost Afghanistan will assuredly lose Ukraine. And the world will be the better off for it. But it's a shame for all the Ukrainian cannon fodder and their Russian neighbors who have to die in such a futile exercise.
And Russia has the moral high ground as a functioning democratic republic? Really?

All I want from Russia is for them to go home and leave Ukraine alone. Let both nations worry about their own internal politics. Why is that so hard to understand?
