He worked his entire career in DC, and now for CNN. I guess he knows where his paycheck comes from.
I used to work with a retired army airborne guy. He served two tours in Vietnam, and jumped out of airplanes until he destroyed his knees. He was against the “average” person owning semi-auto firearms.
I also worked with a lady whose husband was an armed NSA agent, who was required to be armed at all times. He was on the on-campus sniper team, when VIPs would visit. He and his wife were strongly against the private ownership of firearms.
Someone in their neighborhood made the mistake of revealing that he had an “arsenal” of 5 firearms, and 10,000 rounds of ammo. The lady said that he was sick for having such a large “arsenal”.
So, it appears that lots of people, who should know better.......don’t.
A place where they are stockpiled is an armory.

You are missing the point. How can they let you know how deadly their work is, and that they are practically a modern ninja, a tactical Timmy, doing things far beyond YOU?
It’s the “Look how special I am” syndrome.
Sheesh! You have got to be kidding me! They were upset about some guy who owns 5 firearms, and 10,000 rounds of ammo? My friends wouldn't give a piker like that the time of day.
In the run up to Y2K my next-door neighbor told me to come over because he had something to show me. He had dozens of guns of all types and sizes strewn across one of his bedroom's floor. But what he was really proud of was his giant gun safe. It was completely stuffed full of ammo to the point that there was no room for even one of his guns in it. He is a complete nut job.
I told him that he was a piker and if he wanted my respect he needed to buy a dozen or so 25 lb. kegs of smokeless powder, and two or three hundred thousand primers of various sizes. Then he needed to get some presses with dies for handguns and rifles and also shotguns, a few hundred pounds of lead at least, melting pots, and a collection of molds.
He didn't even have any bags of desiccant in his gun safe and it wasn't sealed any way. His store-bought ammo wasn't even in proper Eastern Block spam cans... in ten years the boxer primers and powder in his ammo would all be turning to crap. He hardly ever goes to the range; I bet it has all deteriorated pretty badly by now.
Tells me he never learned how to land!
