To everyone in the country:
Tell me again how our system of pseudo justice is so good.

This is like the man falling through the house skylight onto the island kitchen counter and cutting himself on a blade and then suing the homeowner for the injury during his attempted robbery of the home.

My sister had a similar situation. She and her husband rented a house. A peeping tom was caught on several occasions and was even given a restraining order to remain at least 100’ from my sister’s rental home and my sister.

He got arrested for violating the restraining order, was released, and came right back to my sister’s rental property and was standing on the outside water spigot that was coming up through the ground. The handle of the spigot was broken, so it had jagged edges. When my sister caught the peeping tom and screamed, he slipped and fell straight down cutting into his foot, ankle, and leg up for about 17”! He couldn’t run away and was caught, arrested, and needed several stitches to sew him up.

He sued the landlord/owner and tried to sue my sister and brother-in-law for having a dangerous situation on the property. Ultimately my sister and BIL were removed from the suit, but he won and had all of his medical bills paid by the property owner’s insurance and some extra, if I remember correctly.
