Martin Luther King's dream is almost lost today with "anti-racism" that is equally as bad and insidious as the racism he fought. I grew up taught and believe in every fiber of my being that we should never judge people by the color of their skin, yet nowadays that is practically the first question asked and we are treated on that first, instead of merit or need.

Before I retired at the university library I always signed up for the Martin Luther King Day events. Starting with the Black National Anthem and proceeding through educational sessions and discussions. About 7-8 hours. Probably 10% or fewer white employees of the university were going to them when I retired. Maybe 75% twenty years earlier.

One session. A young black woman assistant professor stood by a white board and a PowerPoint or Visme screen. She showed examples of old statements.

One was Dr.King saying all people should be listened to equally for their ideas and everyone should have equal rights.

She said: “In Dr.King’s time that would have been a good thing to say back then but today it is not. It does not acknowledge that ‘equally’ doesn’t bring any special weight for persons of color who were traditionally overlooked. Equality means they are still getting less than whites are.”

I’m always make curious by these comparisons of an martyred hero to current trends - and wonder if MLK would have been similarly ‘corrupted’ over time, as his contemporaries appear to have been.

Q: Is this country racist?

Yes. There are places in this country I cannot go lest I be beaten or killed because of the color of my skin.

Can blacks say that?

Y’all make it too complex.
American culture and USA black tribal culture are antithetical to each other. If blacks were to abandon their tribe, by the vote, The Democrat elite would wither away and die.
It is a cultural thing not a racial thing. It cannot be fixed. Culture is like religion, people would rather die and kill than give it up.

The slave doesn’t dream about freedom rather he dreams about being the master.
