Quisling McCarthy could END ALL OF IT tomorrow if he wanted to.

“U.S. CODE
TITLE 2—THE CONGRESS
CHAPTER 6—CONGRESSIONAL AND COMMITTEE PROCEDURE; INVESTIGATIONS
Sec. 193. Privilege of witnesses
No witness is privileged to refuse to testify to any fact, or to produce any paper, respecting which he shall be examined by either House of Congress, or by any joint committee established by a joint or concurrent resolution of the two Houses of Congress, or by any committee of either House, upon the ground that his testimony to such fact or his production of such paper may tend to disgrace him or otherwise render him infamous.”

Simply look up Hinds Precedents, especially chapters 53 and 51, and Cannon’s Precedents, especially chapters 184-185. You’ll find numerous detailed cases of Congress asserting its power, arresting people, holding them until they agreed to answer questions, and then releasing them. Some of these people did not refuse to appear, but simply failed to satisfactorily answer questions.

Congress has the authority to arrest and imprison those found in Contempt. The power extends throughout the United States and is an inherent power (does not depend upon legislated act)

If found in Contempt the person can be arrested under a warrant of the Speaker of the House of Representatives or President of the Senate, by the respective Sergeant at Arms.

Statutory criminal contempt is an alternative to inherent contempt.

Under the inherent contempt power Congress may imprison a person for a specific period of time or an indefinite period of time, except a person imprisoned by the House of Representatives may not be imprisoned beyond adjournment of a session of Congress.

Imprisonment may be coercive or punitive.

In 1857, a New York Times reporter refused to say which members of Congress had asked him to get them bribes (protecting his “sources” just as various Judith Millers today protect the people who feed them proven lies that costs thousands of lives), so Congress locked him up until he answered and then banned him from Congress.

In 1924 an oil executive appeared but refused to answer certain questions, so the Senate held — literally held — him in contempt. Senator Thomas Walsh of Montana argued that this question of contempt was of the gravest importance, and that it involved “the very life of the effective existence of the House of Representatives of the United States and of the Senate of the United States.” The matter was taken to court, and the witness fined and imprisoned.

After he’s found guilty, I hope our beloved President Trump challenges the commie Chutkan to imprison him.

Bernie is worse than McGovern was.

But he did have the primary stolen for Hillary.

Communists and Democrats in the USA are one and the same.

Not capable of anything except Lying. And stealing elections, money, property and freedom. And destroying nations.

There is only 1 good type of Commie.

Why not? They got away with it in 2020, so who is going to stop them? Unless some one is punished harshly, the dims will rig every election from here on out.

RE: Where is SCOTUS to stop all this?

Yes they can, but they can’t take on a case and decide unless SOMEONE or SOME ENTITY WITH STANDING takes this case to them.

RE (b) - The base concern is if anyone would even know HOW to "fix" anything, even if they wanted to - do any of those stooges have any real-world practical experience and skill sets to administrate at such a level. That's the reason I voted to hire DJ Trump for the job - to be the administrator we needed. And to a certain extent he was able to even with all the brickbats heaved at him. If he would have had help instead of obstruction there would have been wild successes the likes of which not seen in decades. But the corruption and depravity was just too deep.

We are never going to vote these people out. Are we? If they are allowed to continue this travesty, America is over.

You’re joking, right? They were voted out and even under Republican control they cheated themselves back in.

Yup, even if the republicans had a super majority, the dems will still cheat and get back in power.

Funny thing, when republicans win control of Congress they govern as if they are the minority.

When democrats lose control they continue to act as if they are the majority.

Bottom line - Republicans are just as responsible for letting it happen.

I came to the same conclusion as you have not long ago.

The left has made Trump the only choice regardless of policy, personality or anything else.
All other candidates are a win for their destruction of America.

“But wouldn’t it make more sense to pick a nominee who can get elected and fix the broken justice system that would send Trump to jail?”
————
There is no such nominee. No one can bring voters out like Trump, not even close.

It’s Trump or bust, we had better ALL rally behind him - because, after all, if they can do this to a billionaire ex-President, what do you think they can do to anyone else?

They’re Blatantly Rigging It

Not one third world country has a record as bad as the democrat party when it comes to elections and other dirty deeds.

If that’s your belief, there’s no point; totalitarianism will only be delayed four years. But of course, that’s utter nonsense; Trump is alone in how unelectable he is.
