The only problem I have with the officer’s conduct is that he pulled a gun on protesters were were obviously unarmed. As far as driving over the barricade, I think it had to be done. As far as arresting the protesters for blocking a roadway, it had to be done.
Under review? Anyone stuck in the vehicle in that desert heat could die or have heat stroke. These “protestors” need to be doing hard time.
Never assume they have no weapons.................
Indian Reservations are Sovereign Nations. I have been to court on Reservations and it is a whole different world of legalities and justice system.

The people locked up in traffic because of the protesters should sue the protesters and Extinction Rebellion itselc for damages due to lost time, money, and stress. Lawfare just isn’t for communists.
Looked like they were a threat to emergency vehicles and people in jthe heat. They were committing the crimes. The ranger took appropriate action. People held up that experienced damage should sue the illegal protesters for damages.
The little white eco-Twinkies were on the sacred Piute reservation. They can run over anybody they want. It’s their rez.

This is standard procedure all over this nation everywhere. It is done tens of thousands of times a day without probable cause and society finds it totally acceptable.
