I can name several attacks: the one now at Robotyne, Bakhmut re-capture attempts, Southern attempts at crossing the Dnieper…that’s 3 just from my memory.

About Robotyne. I fully expect Ukraine to take it. Right now (well as of this morning early—US time) they were still fighting on the S outskirts. Maybe Ukr has pushed the rest of the way since then.

I am not surprised by this, it’s Ukraines last push, they are using good men, quality equipment from the West. They will have local success. I like the Ukr people. I dont like Zelensky or most of the liberal —leftist western leaders that support him.

What I don’t understand about the Ukraine supporters here is you seem blind to the bigger scale of the war. You are talking horrendous losses and the frittering away of an offensive so big it was supposed to being Russia (on its knees) to the bargaining table. All it has done is capture a few tiny villages, some thousands of acres of farmland and killed a relatively small number of Russ troops and equipment at a Massive loss. I’m reading 40,000 of the best Ukr troops KIA and perhaps 1/3 of their offensive equipment. Oh and it finally reached the first Russ MLR…after 2 months of hard fighting..wow that’s a failure in itself.

Why fight to the last man mentality when we are speaking of few border territories that want to leave Ukr anyway (no I don’t believe the Ukr claims the people in those borders areas hate Russia—I consider those as lies)? As well as guarantees of neutrality? (was to wether or not those are Putin lies I don’t know…they seem legit).

“I don’t like Zelensky or most of the liberal —leftist western leaders that support him.”

>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

The irony here is that Zelensky is actually a true right winger. He was elected in a landslide (73%) and is both loved and hated for the same reasons Trump was elected and is loved and hated for.

Zelensky it the Ukrainian version of Trump. No wonder many dislike him.

Trump and Zelensky were elected to combat corruption and the deep-state in respective countries. Trump and zelskly have hit hard on corruption. Zelinsky though has succeeded in imprisoning scores of corrupted people working for the State.

Other similarities Trump/Zelensky:

Outsider Status: Both Trump and Zelensky portrayed themselves as political outsiders during their respective campaigns. Trump, a businessman, and Zelensky, a comedian, ran for office without prior political experience.

Populist Appeal: Both leaders appealed to populist sentiments, addressing the concerns of everyday citizens and positioning themselves as champions of the “common people.”

Use of Social Media: Trump and Zelensky have effectively used social media platforms, particularly Twitter, to communicate directly with their supporters and the general public, often making controversial statements and policy announcements.

Anti-Establishment Stance: They both presented themselves as disruptors of the political establishment, promising to “drain the swamp” (Trump’s phrase) or fight against corruption (Zelensky’s promise).

Strong Rhetoric: Both leaders are known for their blunt and sometimes confrontational rhetoric, often challenging political opponents and critics publicly.

Media Attention: Trump and Zelensky received extensive media coverage, with their actions and statements frequently making headlines both nationally and internationally.

Celebrity Status: Prior to entering politics, both Trump and Zelensky were well-known public figures in their respective fields—Trump as a real estate magnate and reality TV star, and Zelensky as a comedian and television personality.

Electoral Victories: Both won their respective presidential elections as political outsiders, with Trump securing the U.S. presidency in 2016 and Zelensky winning the Ukrainian presidency in 2019.

Polarizing Figures: Trump and Zelensky have divided public opinion, with strong support from their respective bases and significant opposition from critics who question their qualifications and policies.

Unconventional Leadership Styles: They have exhibited unconventional leadership styles, often bypassing traditional diplomatic protocols and taking unorthodox approaches to governance.
