Okay. I will not inquire further. But the mighty Tucker may have been punked (which I find unfortunate). We really lack a source of truth anymore. BBC? Agence France-Presse? AP? No longer. Even Hillary cited Al jazeera as being more reliable than US rags (and maybe she was right).

We really lack a source of truth anymore.

This is the REAL truth.

Everything is spin. 100 % narrative and partisan. Nobodies' opinion is right when everybody is wrong.

Some say it's all about research, going to the right sources. I'm not so sure. I'll bet I could scour the internet and find a huge pile evidence of the Earth being flat, with even scientists weighing in, but would it be true?

This so-called modern age of man, with everything so sophisticated, technological and precise is a fantasy.

Yesterday I was talking to my elderly farther (93) who grew up a Roosevelt democrat... I've nearly convinced him that his party of old had abandoned him and it was Trump who was only one defending what would have been the heart of my Dad's party--US workers; steel plants, factories, trades, etc.

So yesterday, he tells me he thinks going after Trump as the democrats are doing is wrong and will bring trouble down the road. I said I strongly agreed, and told him as the parties flip in Congress the opposite party president will be impeached and the opposite party former presidents will be indicted.

He then tells me, "Well, the Republicans just voted to impeach Biden." "Really," I said, "No, that hasn't happened, as much as I wish."

Dad then INSISTED I was wrong, because he saw it on CNN. "They can't just straight up lie," he replied. I said, "Oh yes they can, and they do everyday!" I tried to explain the process to him. First, the House has to have a full floor vote to open up a committee to investigate whether they will seek an impeachment committee.

Then, if they do, they have to have a floor vote to SEAT that committee.

Then the committee investigates and brings it to the full House, which will require the final vote to impeach or not.

I went to the House web site and showed it to him.

Back in June, Lauren Boebert asked for a resolution to impeach Biden. McCarthy had a vote along party lines, 219-208, to refer Boebert’s articles of impeachment for possible consideration by certain congressional committees, like any other bill.

Now it sits in the docket of the Homeland Security and Judiciary committees ever since.

No vote to impeach!

But the fact that the articles of impeachment, which accuse Biden of “high crimes and misdemeanors” related to his handling of the U.S. border with Mexico, were introduced does not mean that Biden has been impeached.

My dad was like, why would they lie? Why would CNN lie?

I said "Exactly". They lied because they want to push a narrative right now, that the democrats aren't so bad because, look, the House Republicans are going off just as crazy as all these Trump indictments are.

This tells me they have internal polling showing that the majority of Americans think the Trump indictments are BS and wrong. So they have show them, "Nah, both sides do it."

And of course, they lie because of their bias and narrative.

Everyone, even Tucker does this. He has a strong opinion of things and uses his show (podcast?) to make his points.

I support Tucker, but understand he's a player, too.

The bottom line is much research and science goes into convincing people of something someone wants them to believe. And they're very good at it. Think of sales ads you seen; juicy burgers, hot cars and women, fancy clothes, vacation spots. All to entice you to spend your money.

But it's not just advertising for something to buy they've made into an art form/scientific truth.

The news media, all of it, Left, Right, etc. are using advertising on you for your belief in various economic, political and social positions they're pushing.
