Floyd turned himself in but said he couldnt afford a lawyer......
he said the judge told him he should hire a lawyer or represent himself.

Travesty.

Thanks. I missed that part obviously. This whole thing is upsetting to witness.

To top it off, the Public Defenders Office turned him down. How can this be? The Miranda Rights say
“if you cannot afford one, one will be provided”. It does not say “if we think you cannot afford one”.

I can “afford” to buy lots of stuff if I don’t have to buy food, support my child, pay taxes, pay for health insurance, pay for shelter.....you know, the little stuff. The dude lives off a military disability pension.

I hope Judge Macafee is enjoying his vacation while the wrong Floyd rots in jail. He better hope nothing happens to Mr Floyd or the summer of love might reignite itself in Hotlanta.
