I for one am believing the tracking models
I say Look Out Tallahassee!
Beware the right hook just before landfall.
Man... that eye is so tight.
Sure wish it would start to wobble a little.
Funny isn’t it, we were praying for Naples/Tampa. Now Tallahassee.
With these, we are all Floridians, FRiend.
Buoy 42099 offshore St. Pete 20ft wave height.
That stuff is so hard to predict....
You should not feel bad, do not apologize. It applies.
I mentioned that Blizzard somewhere today, too. (I was/am in Michigan) It is what we remember: the bottom falling out of the barometric pressure and winds blowing completely horizontal. Idalia will be a mean lady.
Not praying, just weather observing, I have multi-challels Tallahassee better be prepared, old mossy oaks will come down
Ayep
Good thing the Gators game is in Utah.
Gotta wonder how high these seas will go and remember the gulf is not as deep as the Atlantic which yield smaller seas. We had 10-12' off Islamorada today.
Pinhole eye. We may be seeing rapid intensification.

Just got back from Mexico Beach. The water was flat, no waves. A few small curling waves at the shore but that was it.
A word of caution with the current hurricane hunter guidance:
Hurricanes wobble. It’s what we like to call trochoidal oscillations. These oscillations occur as inner core dynamics create vorticity maximums within the eyewall, favoring dynamical forcing to become lopsided.
This forces the hurricane to “wobble” one direction. As the vorticity rotates around the other direction, the storm “wobbles” back the other way. This creates an almost side-step motion in the storm.
While the hurricane hunter data currently suggests a major shift east, indicating a possible earlier start to the easterly turn, more data is needed to conclude this is - in fact - the turn itself and not an oscillation.
I’ll be monitoring the next few passes closely. #FLwx #Idalia
Sure looks like it.
patience Grasshopper ...
Wow
Looks like a Cat 3 to me
small eye and inner core
