I view Genesis in an evolutionary sense...which is not really different from a creationist sense. God created Life, and Life evolved. And one of the evolutions became Man.
Where Genesis goes astray, though, is that it ignores the natural process of evolution; and begins at the LATEST period in the process, and not at the beginning. But that is not the fault of those who wrote Genesis, as they could only write about what was immediately known or observant to them at the time.
They’d have no more chance of guessing the early evolution of life than Galileo would to predict the Higgs bisons properties. They were just making things up based on their old oral traditions. The American Indian spirit studf is really just aa valid. Ie not at all. There’s nothing to be gained with creationism.
