this should change with appeal, because religious freedom is a fundamental right... Maryland courts are the devil’s court.
Truly a shocking ruling, claiming peoples’ kids as state property. I wonder if this now means that the state can sell children into sexual slavery?
Watched an episode of “Mannix” the other night wherein the old moralistic white guy accused the advocate of “sex ed” that they wanted to remove the child’s parents from the process. The advocate heartfelt and earnestly in the the very tones of pure innocence denied the scurrilous charge. Of course the morals spewing old white guy turned out to be the killer. Looks like the old white guy character was dead right.

So it is not within the government’s sole ability to develope curriculum. No one group can just declare anything without the overseeing of the other groups unless the other groups fold up and play dead. As for funding, the government funds only about 8% of the public schools.

I am going against the grain here but more and more I see the only solution being to end compulsory education by the state and its standards.
Home school if you can.
Find other parents who have the same concerns, and work on solutions.
Also, once out of the system- no one is bound to the Mon.-Fri. 7am-3pm schedule. Children can have classes at times that work best for parents i.e. day, night, on any of the days of the week.
How about separation of persons and state? State controlled education has always been a challenge to individual rights. It was tolerable when public run schools were truly community schools reflecting local values and needs. Those days have passed.
When "walkaway" is made illegal, then the next step is.... state fascism.

A lousy report. No mention of the judges names, how many, their background, their politics (almost assuredly Democrat, and most likely pro-buggery). It is a case that seems made for the Supreme Court.
If the red states do secede, I hope they take the red areas of the blue states with them.

They’ve always lacked it. That’s why you can’t wait for them. If you know what’s right, and you are in the right place and time, then God picked you to be the one to stand up and say that, even if nobody else will stand up along with you.
And you might be surprised how many times someone did that and the sheeple took notice and grew some courage themselves. Of course the first guy to stand up probably got martyred before that happened, but still...
