In my neck of the woods it’d be the Subway shop. I don’t even know of any pizza place that’s closed in the last 20 years, tho’ a couple have moved. All seem to do ok or better.

Reportedly a 2nd similar passenger plane was following, and turned back. IF true, make of it what you will.

This was Priggy’s private jet. I’d expect him to be able to afford decent mechanics. Plus smuggle in parts. And few planes catch fire and simultaneously abruptly plummet from the sky. (Impressive vid, BTW.) But mechanical failure is still a possibility. Planned mechanical failure seems more likely. If it really was a shootdown, Pooty is certainly showing his ass, and may regret it.

It could even be an internal Wagner dispute, too, but Wagner’s men were pretty loyal to Prigozhin.

So early on, I’m inclined to go by the old saying “If it walks like a duck, swims like a duck, and quacks like a duck”...

Can NATO AWACS see a missile (S-300?) launch in that area?

It was his private jet, as you said. Not the only one he owns. It was an Embraer business class jet. Very well-made aircraft designed and built in Brazil. Embraer is heavily subsidized by the Brazilian government. Their jets have become very popular and are extensively used by United, American, Delta, and other U.S. carriers for commuter jet service.
