There’s also a lot of talk that the CIA killed JFK as well.
What I don’t get is what the vendetta was all about.
Oswald and Sirhan killed the Kennedy’s. Oswald was a Castro sympathizer and Sirhan was an anti Semite. JFK with the Bay of Pigs failed invasion and RFK with his pro-Israel support. Those were the motives as I see it.

Far easier to hit both Kennedy brothers in the head with a blackjack and claim they tripped and fell down a flight of stairs.
“What I don’t get is what the vendetta was all about.”
Bobby Kennedy was against the Vietnam War and publicly stated it could not be won militarily before he was killed. Bobby Kennedy was also against J. Edgar Hoover at the FBI. The CIA was obviously fully invested in perpetuating the Vietnam War.
Eisenhower warned the nation about the military industrial complex just as George Washington warned the nation about foreign alliances and entanglements in his Farewell address. Like his brother John, Robert Kennedy represented a threat to the military industrial complex.
RFK was planning to re-open his brother’s assassination investigation—and he knew the CIA did it.
That is why RFK was killed.
As to JFK—the CIA had many reasons to kill him from policy differences—Bay of Pigs aftermath where JFK fired Allen Dulles, Vietnam, Israel nuclear weapons, Soviet nuclear weapons negotiations—to personal hatred (JFK slept with wife of London Chief of Station and wrecked his marriage).

Many great books on the JFK assassination, but the best hard evidence of CIA involvement is the deathbed confession of E. Howard Hunt:

The “vendetta” is the struggle to clear the communists in Russia and their American allies running the Democrat Party of the murder of JFK.
My mother was a teenager in Chicago when President Kennedy was killed. Her father was a first generation American Sicilian. He owned a meat packing facility.
All of his friends from the growing up, that he played gin rummy with every week, were very connected. A man at his funeral when I was in college was at the top of the food chain in Chicago.
Anyway, my Mom’s story was that the morning after JFK was killed, she came down to breakfast and she was still crying and in shock. She said something like “I can’t believe they killed him.” Supposedly my grandpa put down his fork and knife, looked at her and asked “who is they?” She said the Cubans.
He laughed at her and said “Carol Anne, the boys killed him. They all were talking about it before it happened.” She says he picked up his fork and knife and never said another word about it.
Anecdotal? Yes. Third hand? Yes but close in the family. If you look at how the mafia won the election for Kennedy, then he turned on them with the full power of the govt, it makes a lot of sense.
Worse, in the context of the Cold War, Kennedy seemed to act as if he were compromised because his decisions in the Cuban Missile Crisis, the Bay of Pigs, and as to the Vietnam War were duplicitous and suggestive of covert disloyalty, even treason. And the Kennedys (JFK and RFK) were regarded as directly culpable in the death of Marilyn Monroe.
As it was, the CIA had the support and active assistance of elements of the Mafia, Cuban exiles on the CIA payroll, and J. Edgar Hoover. LBJ also backed the plot and cover-up and may have arranged a slush fund to finance it from several Texas oil men.
